BRANCH MANAGER Sarasota, Florida

Ardaman's Sarasota office has a unique opportunity for a senior engineer with proven technical, personnel, and project management experience. The Branch Manager is the technical and management leader of the branch that provides geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and inspection, and environment assessment services on a wide range of project types for both public and private clients. This is a well-established branch, having been in operation since 1960.

The successful candidate will be technically superior and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position requires a Florida P.E. license.

A Master's degree specializing in Geotechnical Engineering is a plus; a BSCE degree with geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing experience is the minimum qualification. The position will provide a dynamic, team-oriented work environment and an exceptional opportunity for career growth.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions * Must be able to lift 50 pounds. * In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours. * Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. * Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. * Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. * Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit. * Ability to work in a wet and cold environment. * Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
