Responsibilities

Manager Retail Branch is responsible for all aspects of running a OneWest banking office. They are responsible for recruiting scheduling training coaching mentoring & executing performance evaluations for all branch personnel.

Branch Managers are responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned performance objectives delivering OneWest's exceptional one person at a time service risk management satisfactory compliance ratings maintaining adequate operational controls and operating within all bank policies & procedures. They are expected to be a leader within their community representing OneWests' commitment to its local communities. Branch Managers are the general manager of their branch.

They are responsible for creating a focused sales and service environment by providing clarity on branch and individual performance expectations (goals) and consistent direct feedback on branch and individual performance to those goals. Branch Managers should provide sales and service coaching to all employees based on their observations feedback from clients and actual variance to assigned goals. Branch Managers need to be knowledgeable on all products and services provided through the branch call center and on line channels. They should be at least conversant regarding all other OneWest lines of business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a leadership position

  • Must have a proven track record in building a team, customer experience, and business performance

  • Banking experience preferred

  • College degree or equivalent preferred

Primary responsibilities: * Enhance Small Business product and service offerings by collaborating with other lines of business to create new products and services and enhance existing products and services * Create effective goals for future direct reports that drive small business production while doing the right thing for our customers, community, shareholders and the bank * Recruit, hire and manage Business Development Officers * Provide innovative and creative solutions to drive sustainable, quality Small Business results * Promote strong sales ethics culture by ensuring consistent sales message content and delivery. This will be accomplished by doing the following: * Conduct regular branch visits with Regional Managers * Partner with Director of Sales Management and Learning and Development to create effective and specific Small Business sales tools and guides * Partner with Regional Managers and Learning and Development to facilitate and attend Small Business training sessions and workshops * Improve overall financial performance in the branches through effective Small Business coaching * Oversee direct report Business Development Officers Qualifications Qualifications: * 10+ years of banking experience required * At least 5 years of Small Business/Business Banking experience required * 5+ years of experience managing a sales team or teams required * Extensive business knowledge and expertise required (understanding of how to read business tax returns, business cash flows, various deposit and lending solutions, etc.) * 3+ years of remote management experience preferred * Must have knowledge of business development techniques, sales development and planning * Must have previous sales experience * Must be able to assess risk levels of banking relationships in relation to economic, financial and environmental factorsMust have knowledge of branch banking and operational functions, bank services and products and related policies and procedures * Bachelor's Degree preferred #LI-AR1 CIT Group Pasadena CA
