The Branch Manager is responsible for effectively coordinating the sales and operational activities of the Branch Office with a view to maintaining competitiveness and to increase market share and become an integral and profitable branch of NNR/USA by performing the following duties. Supervise and manage the staff at his/her branch office. Duties & Functions Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company s policies and procedures.

Directly supervises Managers, Supervisors and Sales staff. Indirectly supervises the operations staff.

Create and implement policies & procedures to ensure that the Branch Office is profitable.

Create and implement a business plan for sales and growth of the Branch Office. Analyze monthly revenue and expense reports. Prepare Monthly Branch Manager Report.

Analyze the profitability of each department in the Branch and advise departmental supervisors and managers. Advise departmental supervisors/managers on troubleshooting operational mistakes. Responsible for monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Prepare Monthly Collection Reports. Maintain QMS compliance if applicable. Analyze shipping statistics.

Coordinate rate negotiations with the airlines to obtain competitive rates for the Branch Office. Create, review and analyze branch office budget. Advise staff on import/export regulations.

Assist and Coordinate sales efforts between Branch Office and NNR s Global Network. Maintain Branch Security Plan. Advise Departmental Managers on employee training on NNR s Freight Security Measures.

Effectively communicate with the worldwide NNR Group companies as well as the worldwide NNR Group network of partners to insure maximum cooperation, enhanced communications and overall increased productivity with each partner. In cooperation with the Global Accounts Team, personalize sales specifically to target Major Global Accounts in the given sales territory. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and business clients. Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Conduct weekly meetings with staff.

Comply and ensure adherence to NNR Global Logistics USA standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient business operations. Perform all performance appraisals according to NNR Global Logistics USA and ensure that managers are in compliance with the standards in their administration of performance appraisals to their staff. Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all management personnel according to NNR Global Logistics USA and ensure that managers are in compliance with the standards in their administration of counseling and disciplinary steps.

Ensure that all employees receive fair and equitable treatment according to NNR Global Logistics USA policy and procedures. Perform other duties as requested. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education & Experience:

Bachelor s Degree in Business, International, Logistics and Transportation etc. 5 Plus years working experience in international freight forwarding industry in logistics. Must have FSC and CCSP Certified Cargo training if applicable Solid understanding of sales in the industry. Proficient computer skills to include all Microsoft technologies.

Physical requirements: Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Employee must have a valid driver s license. Employee must have forklift safety certification. Travel, including overnight and overseas travel may be required.
