As a Branch Manager II with Simmons Bank, you are able to foster strong relationships with the branch associates and your customers, while holding responsibility for all sales, operations, security, and compliance activities within a single branch or multiple branches. Our Branch Managers have the distinct privilege of mentoring branch associates, developing their careers, and providing guidance as they work to meet their professional goals and work to successfully service their customer's needs. You will also assist your District and Regional management teams to provide input for goal setting to ensure profitable growth of new and existing business.
Qualifications for a Branch Manager II: Population: .5% to 2.7%, Transactions: 4000-6000, Core Deposits: $18-$25MM, Accounts: 1700-3000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop a strong branch culture by effectively hiring, on-boarding, training, coaching, and disciplining all branch staff in a large branch or in multiple branches.
Potential to be responsible for managing multiple branches with direct leadership of other managers, or managing a branch with a $5MM+ consumer loan portfolio.
Demonstrate passion by utilizing business development skills and sales planning to create effective recommendations to customers and prospective customers to meet their financial needs.
Interact with the community to build strong public relations with customers, prospective customers, and the community through community activities, civic groups and/or advisory boards.
Maintain complete knowledge of all aspects of the branch banking system, including familiarity with the functions of each position supervised.
Take responsibility for understanding consumer loan requests: solicit loan requests; maintain knowledge loan policies and procedures; assist with branch's consumer loan portfolio; coach staff to sell and handle consumer loan requests in an effective manner.
Hold regular meetings with branch associates to discuss time management, communication skills, sales, regular business, bank security, and operational policies to encourage and develop employees' confidence, competency, and efficiency.
Correspond frequently with district and regional management. Compile and maintain timely sales, compliance, and security records in order to provide information quickly and efficiently.
Uphold basic understanding of bank operations, audit strategy, and compliance initiatives to ensure that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or its equivalent required
BS/BA degree preferred
Two to four years sales management experience required
MS Office programs
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Able to motivate and lead several associates and/or several teams.
