The Branch Manager facilitates and drives the branch operations, to include managing the financial business plan; overseeing all talent development, training, presentation and facility maintenance; ensuring all Briggs Equipment standards are adhered to and executed consistently with company direction.

1.Maintains daily involvement within the branch departments to facilitate their collaboration: sales, service, parts, and rental
2.Achieves financial objectives by driving the performance of financial operational plans and budgets.
3.Continuously assesses talent at all levels within the branch and provides specific ongoing coaching, training and feedback to develop the best talent in the industry
4.Recruits, interviews and takes ownership of all hiring decisions to ensure only top diversified talent is on-boarded into Briggs Equipment
5.Promotes positive employee relations including fostering high team morale, upholding operational standards, and execution of the performance management process
6.Leads and facilitates weekly team meetings to ensure effective communication and motivation at all levels of the organization
7.Builds and strengthens relationships with customers to ensure Briggs Equipment is promoting the best value and quality from that relationship
8.Approves weekly schedules to ensure location is on target with business plan
9.Partners with Operations Service Group (OSG) and Shared Services Group (SSG) (i.e. Operations, Human Resources, Finance) to develop and execute a sound and obtainable business plan
10. Approves invoices and reports sent to OSG and ensures the location is in alignment with budget on a weekly basis
11. Manages and coordinates all requests received from other branches or OSG
12. Performs other related duties as assigned


Basic Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Excellent customer service, time management and multi-tasking skills

  • Outstanding leadership and people development skills

  • Strong financial acumen, including cognitive skills, problem analysis, decision-making and quantitative analysis

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to assess customer patterns and adjust labor and branch focus accordingly

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

Previous Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

  • 5+ years' experience in roles with increasing responsibility

  • 2+ years' experience in leading others

  • Experience in revenue generation to include the ability to analyze income statements and take appropriate action


  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Manages assigned branch personnel in accordance with company policies by hiring, training, motivating, planning and directing work, providing performance feedback, developing associates and resolving associate issues. * Accurately completes and submits all sales-related paperwork (e.g., shippers, invoices, cylinder audits, month-end reports, cash reconciliations, deposits, etc.) in a timely manner. * Evaluates and monitors day-to-day activities of a branch to ensure cost effective operations and makes changes to ensure same when required. * Coordinates sales promotion activities and responsible for maintaining and stocking merchandise and displaying it so that it is attractive to customers. Maintains a clean and attractive store. * Coordinates activities with other branches and/or immediate branch personnel to resolve any customer, sales or operational problems or inquiries. Issues are handled in a manner that enhances customer satisfaction. * Works in accordance with all policies and procedures ad rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company. * Lead and promote safety; organize safety meetings and strictly enforce safety rules. * Other duties may be assigned. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other associates, managers, customers and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver's license.
