Reporting to the Area Manager/Leader, the Branch Manager will work to support the growth strategy anddeliver at an operational level with end-to-end ownership of the branch financial and operationalobjectives. This role will deliver high quality service in a compliant environment with a focus on growthand service delivery excellence in their designated geographic area. The role will also work across thematrix functions of the Field Support Center (corporate) to ensure a reliable and consistent operatingenvironment.

Responsibilities:

Support company and geographic growth targets:

Strategy & Planning

  • Work with the Area Leader to create 1-year business plan for the branch, including:

  • Budget and operational targets

  • Specific actions to execute growth objectives

Revenue Growth

  • Develop and maintain local referral source relationships

  • Ensure client and caregiver onboarding targets and needs are achieved

  • Conduct (support) client onboarding (coordinate the opening of new cases)

  • Ensure high standards for client and employee retention

Ensure compliance with Local, State, Federal and Company regulations, policies and procedures:

  • Build and maintain culture of quality

  • Manage team to deliver quality care that adheres to policies and procedures

  • Ensure client and employee file compliance

  • Maintain accurate incident records and implement actions to resolve issues

  • Collaborate with Quality and Compliance and Quality Assurance nurses for audits as applicable

Maintain operational excellence:

KPIs

  • Own branch KPIs and support Area Leaders to develop internal reporting packages

  • Review KPIs daily, weekly & monthly with Area Leader and identify actions to improve performance

Financial Management

  • Monitor and make necessary improvements to revenue and utilization

  • Manage branch operating expenses to budget, including approval of payroll and overtime

Operations

  • Supervise and delegate duties and establish proper accountability for staff members

  • Liaise with local contracting entity for contract services and operations

  • Ensure quality process for intake and authorizations to ensure updated information is documented on client files

  • Review and approve client caregiver assignment to ensure client needs and caregiver availability and preferences are achieved

  • Ensure outstanding client service delivery

  • Resolve issues reported from Care Supervisors and clients, and report to the Area or Market leadership as required.

  • Escalate business issues, whether operational or financial (revenue, collections, etc.)

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of Case Supervisors, Caregivers, (Field Coordinators, RN CMs, intake, scheduling, and other applicable positions)

  • Forecast staffing needs and develop a recruitment and staffing plan

  • Oversee recruitment, screening, and selection to meet needs

  • Approve new hires and ensure quality training

  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and manage local recognition program

  • Coach and mentor team, including direct responsibility for employee improvement, satisfaction, and retention

Office Management & Business Improvement

  • Arbitrate grievances reported from field or administrative staff, personnel, and clients

  • Coordinate with Dir of Field Ops on the purchase, maintenance, and repair of the facility

  • Collaborate with support functions (compliance, legal, HR, finance, marketing) as needed in support of effective field operations

  • Develop and implement best-in-class processes in branch, sharing innovative practices across branches

  • Champion organizational change and improvement initiatives

VIEW JOBS 9/29/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-28T00:00 <p><strong>Benefit Class:</strong> 1 FLSA: Exempt </p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $85-100,000</p><p><strong>Accountability Objectives:</strong> The Branch Director is responsible for planning, implementation, delivery, and supervision of direct clinical services provided to patients and families, the interdisciplinary team coordination, and for the supervision of Home Health and/or Hospice services delivered by respective teams consistent with our Home Health and/or Hospice policies and procedures.</p><p><strong>Hours Worked:</strong> Full-time hours, typically Monday through Friday, however, the position requires flexibility to assure the needs of the individuals and job functions are met. This position is subject to after-hours on-call duties as well. </p><p>The supervisor may approve and/or mandate a change in hours based on service and patient needs. This position may be required to substitute for extra hours when necessary to ensure the ongoing provision of services and support to patients and employees. </p><p><strong>PROCESS </strong></p><p><li> Maintain a thorough, current knowledge of all state and federal rules, laws, and regulations pertaining to operational policies and procedures. </li></p><p><li> Supervise all clinical documentation and periodically review documentation to ensure accurate, proper, and comprehensive medical documentation. </li></p><p><li> Ensure all certification requirements (Medicaid, Medicare, ACHC, etc.) are in place for the nursing department and propose policy changes when required by rule, as appropriate. </li></p><p><li> Attend and participate in meetings as requested to stay abreast of company issues, policy and procedure changes, personnel updates, and general information. </li></p><p><li> Assist in the development and implementation of all organizational policies and procedures. </li></p><p><li> Plan, target and facilitate growth in collaboration with the marketing team. </li></p><p><li> Establish functions and qualifications for all personnel in collaboration with the supervisor. </li></p><p><li> Develop the annual team goals; update on a quarterly basis.</li></p><p><li> Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures related to clinical services. </li></p><p><li> Attend conferences applicable to the field to learn about the latest developments and networks. </li></p><p><li> Manage programs through delegation of responsibility to administrative and supervisory personnel. </li></p><p><li> Identify and correct deficiencies associated with the delivery of clinical services and employee development needs. </li></p><p><li> Determine staffing needs and staffing patterns according to program requirements and with consideration for utilization of personnel at their maximum potential. </li></p><p><li> Provide leadership in the development of organization objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures affecting the programs in the organization. </li></p><p><li> Provide supervision of support and clerical employees in cooperation with other members of the clinical management team. </li></p><p><li> Oversee clinical supervision of nursing personnel, home health aides, social workers, and other necessary positions. </li></p><p><li> Conduct appropriate supervisory visits which allow for clinical observation of the performance of assigned team members. </li></p><p><li> Identify the need for employee education and assist in the development of in-service programs. </li></p><p><li> Assist the company in education/training programs. </li></p><p><li> Share in providing 24 hours 7 day a week coverage to patients and families when necessary. </li></p><p><li> Assure the availability of medication supplies, etc. for an interdisciplinary team, for Hospice only. </li></p><p><li> As applicable, act as the agency Administrator in the absence of the Administrator. The Administrator role is defined as the overall operation and services of Home Health/Hospice. A qualified administrator is appointed by and reports to the governing body. The administrator must be a Home Health/Hospice employee and possess the education and experience required by the Home </li>Health/Hospice governing body. The administrator organizes and directs the Home Health/Hospice's ongoing day-to-day operations; maintains ongoing liaison among the governing body/owner and personnel; employs qualified personnel and ensures adequate personnel education and evaluations; ensures the accuracy of public information materials and activities, and implements an effective budgeting and accounting system. </p><p><li> Perform other duties as assigned by management. </li></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements: </strong></p><ul><li>The Branch Director must be a Registered Nurse licensed to practice as an RN in their state of employment with a current license from the State’s Board of Nursing. This position is required to maintain CEUs per state regulations. </li><li>A minimum of two years of Home Health/Hospice care experience and at least one year of supervisory experience is required. The extensive healthcare industry and leadership experience may substitute for a nursing license and Home Health/Hospice experience. </li><li>Acceptable background check, valid state driver’s license, personal automobile insurance, and driving record which allows candidates to be covered by the company’s insurance policy required. Also, must possess all of the following: excellent customer service and communication skills, a sincere desire to provide service and support to persons in need; the ability to make sound judgments; the ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services; the ability to coordinate patient care services; and the ability to exchange support, constructive criticism and ideas with other employees.
