The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall profitability and efficient operation of the branch.
Collaborates with Retail Manager in establishing branch sales goals, objectives, deposit growth, and staff development. Develops annual business plan in line with the Banks' strategic plan.
Ensures all standard operation procedures are being followed and provides guidance and training to branch personnel. In this role you will also be the model of what exceptional customer service looks like, and coach other members of the team to reach these standards.

Collaborates with other managers and departments to ensure all personnel are aware of the complete line of products and services available in order to assist customers and be able to refer products and services.
Acts as a resource to retail employees and other divisions and departments of the Bank with regard to customer service issues. Assists in resolving more complex customer problems.
Ensures the sales strategy is being met by overseeing and assisting in weekly sales meetings, huddles, etc. Coach staff in customer service/sale skills as needed.
Actively participates in the STEP program. Attends sales and STEP training. Utilizes the STEP program initiatives to reach targeted goals. Actively solicits new business and builds rapport with current customer base by utilizing a schedule of calling on current and potential customers.
Recruits and develops staff to ensure proper staffing levels. Ensures accurate and complete performance management reviews and individual development plans are completed on a consistent and timely basis.
Maintains personnel administration for all personnel, such as training, development, coaching, counseling, and performance reviews.
Maintains an atmosphere in the branch conducive to open communication. Collaborate with all levels of staff to assist in an environment of teamwork thereby growing long term strategic relationships and ensuring successful implementations.
Represents the Bank in the community and actively participates in various community affairs and bank designated projects to promote the Bank and further develop new business opportunities.
Acquires understanding of security procedures; practices established procedures. Understands role in case of robbery, whether victim or bystander, and knows proper post-robbery procedures.
Maintains prescribed security controls to protect against fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure. Monitors and reviews bank's security procedures and ensures staff's thorough understanding and full compliance of bank's security procedures. Ensures staff's understanding of their role in case of robbery and proper post-robbery procedures.
Ensures staff's thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to teller and customer service areas (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, Regulations CC, E, DD, P, etc.) evidenced by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations.
Attends all required training. Ensures all staff attend and complete all training.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
5-7 years of professional experience in bank retail and operations functions preferred.
Extensive supervisory and managerial skills preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively at a high level, including oral, written, and active listening.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to make decisions, research and solve problems, work independently, handle confidential information and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to accept and facilitate change, caused by customer demand, corporate needs, or regulatory requirements.
Ability to maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services in order to solicit business for bank deposit products and loan services.
Ability and desire to work as part of a team, and with people of diverse backgrounds.
Ability and desire to be an active participant in community activities.
Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines, ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction.
Ability to learn and maintain an above average proficiency in computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, high achiever, strong work ethic with above average time management skills.
Must also be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
Ability to drive a vehicle. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes.
Individual needs to be flexible with days or hours necessary to complete job responsibilities. Expected to work, attend meetings or required training after hours as needed.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY DEMANDS:
Regularly required to sit; stand; walk; talk; see and hear. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
