Branch Manager Job Summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall profitability and efficiency of the branch and its operations. Responsible for hiring, developing and motivating an engaged team who provides solutions to improve customer's financial needs. Expected to drive results through strong individual sales performance in addition to coaching and leading the team to exceed their goals all while providing quality service to our customers. Acts as a leader for legendary customer experience, provides motivation and direction for the team, expands the customer base, and participates in the local community events.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achieve business results by communicating performance measures, knowing the customer base, and fostering a customer-centric environment.

  • Actively call on new and prospective customers; explore needs, cross-sell and recommend bank products and services that are in the best interest of the customer to help achieve their financial objectives.

  • Responsible for developing relationships with referral sources in the community such as realtors, builders, and developers, to increase loan opportunities for consumer, business, and mortgage referrals.

  • Actively participate in the sales management program; attend sales training; utilize sales program initiatives to achieve targeted goals. Provide one-on-one coaching sessions with employees; results-based coaching, observational coaching, and skill-building coaching. Hold staff accountable to sales and service expectations for meeting sales goals.

  • Responsible for personnel administration, such as employment interviews, training and development, coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, and performance reviews. Address performance issues by gathering information and setting goals for improvement in a fair and consistent manner.

  • Maintain an atmosphere conducive to open communication.

  • Able to support the needs of the business by performing basic teller and customer service functions; including but not limited to, processing transactions, balancing cash, opening accounts, and completing all sales activities.

  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are being followed and provide guidance and training to branch personnel on operating opportunities, handling of exceptions and adjustments. Assist with regular audit functions.

  • Ensures adherence to established security controls and reporting requirements to protect the bank against fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure.

  • Ensures staff's thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to teller and customer service areas are evident by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations.

  • Represent the Bank in the community and actively participate in various community events to promote the Bank and further develop new business opportunities. Such events may include an Easter Egg Hunt, Fireworks Festival or Christmas Parade.
