GENERAL SUMMARY

Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success of the branch with a primary focus on retaining banking relationships and developing new business for the bank.

DIRECT REPORTS

The incumbent supervises the entire staff within the branch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Management of and total accountability for a branch office in meeting administrative, Compliance, operational, sales and service, and profitability objectives of the bank.

i. Make regular business development calls to solicit new business (loans, deposits) or improve services to clients.

ii. Oversee and/or train/guide staff to provide clients with appropriate Bank products and services.

iii. Insure that staff members provide continuous quality service to clients.

iv. Represent the bank in the community through involvement in various civic and charitable activities.

v. Assure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures.

vi. Maintain non-discriminatory practices in business.

vii. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
2.Sales & Service Responsibilities

i. Set annual personal performance plan/goals and weekly sales plan/goals for the branch staff.

ii. Assess sales results of the branch.

iii. Work with marketing dept. to develop sales programs and/or campaigns.

iv. Hold weekly sales/service meetings for briefings and debriefings.

v. Motivate staff to solicit sales and give commendable service.

vi. Supervise training of staff on product knowledge, sales and service techniques.

vii. Provide clients with appropriate bank products and services to meet the clients' needs.

viii. Build/enhance business relationship with clients.
3.Lending Responsibilities

i. Make business development calls to solicit loans.

ii. Maintain, promote, enhance business relationship with clients.
4.Administration Responsibilities

i. Set annual budget and business goal for the branch.

ii. Monitor monthly income and control expense of the branch.

iii. Ensure a satisfactory branch overall audit.

iv. Monitor performance of the staff that are under the manager's direct supervision.

Coach and counsel them when needed. Ensure proper guidance is given to those who indirectly report to branch management.

v. Arrange for appropriate training and cross training of staffs when needed.

vi. Address and resolve human resource issues when needed.

vii. Understand personnel policies and procedures and treat staffs fairly.
5.Operations Responsibilities

i. Oversee/monitor performance of operations staff to ensure all policies/procedures are compliant with bank guidelines

j. Ensure a satisfactory branch audit is met.
6.Authorities

i. Have designated authority to approve loans, overdrafts, checks, withdrawals, fee reversals, and other items.

ii. Sign official checks and other documents.

iii. Provide signature guaranty.

iv. Have authority to directly resolve errors and clients complaints.

v. Hire and fire staff with the concurrence of senior management and Human

Resources department personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • College degree in business or finance preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years banking experience to include 2 years branch management in a commercial bank preferred.

  • Good knowledge of commercial lending products.

  • Thorough knowledge of federal/state and IRS regulations.

Skills/Ability:

  • Leadership qualities: ability to plan, organize, motivate, supervise, and delegate.

  • Ability to create a team environment.

  • Accountable; ability to make decisions and assume responsibility for those decisions.

  • Strong sales and sales management ability.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to conduct business development calls.

  • Bilingual Mandarin or Cantonese preferred.

VIEW JOBS 8/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-19T00:00 The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) – is responsible for driving the store's merchandising and operations strategy through cleanliness, presentation, display, product selection, inventory control, and disposal to generate profitable store growth. In addition, the ASM will be responsible for daily Operations Management which includes staff training/development, guest experience, hiring of associates, and Asset Protection. The ASM will run daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager and will work with store leadership to drive overall store performance. Duties and Responsibilities Merchandising: * Oversee efficient preparing, unloading, sorting, staging, stocking, and backhaul processes * Ensure fresh displays are replenished, rotated, culled several times daily. Set quality standards for culling. * Ensure proper rotation of all product. * Oversee/ train on guidelines for all perishable handling. * Ensure that cycle counts/Liquid Forms are being completed timely and accurately to reduce scrap and maximize sales. * Ensure work areas are maintained, clean, neat, organized including fixture deep cleans as needed. * Track stocking productivity daily and hold Stockers accountable to case per hour labor standards. * Use SSO reports to review re-orderable items that are available in the Distribution Center (DC). * Responsible for overseeing Seasonal Department including set-up / planning/ stocking / maintenance * Operate and inspect powered industrial equipment (i.e. Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) and/or Forklift, refrigerators, coolers, and freezers, etc.). Operations: * Responsible for front end staff training and guidance in day-to day responsibilities. * Plan front end merchandise layouts and maintain shelves and inventory. * Ensure specialty racks programs assigned and refilled daily (reading/sunglasses, batteries, etc.) * Responsible for ordering store supplies including all front-end supplies (example bank change) * Ensure all Asset Protection programs are being executed and any exceptions are being reported to the Store Manager and Regional Asset Protection Manager. * Conduct required audits to ensure the store is functional, safe and in compliance. * Support Store Manager with hiring and onboarding activities. * Manage recovery process to ensure best practices are being followed. * Assist Store Manager in enforcing all Company Hazardous Waste Programs including storage, disposal, logs, HWBP (Hazardous Waste Business Plans) and ordering Hazmat equipment. Additional Responsibilities: * Ensure the store is a safe place for associates to work and customers to visit. * Coach, support, and evaluate new and existing associate performance. * Ensure all associates are completing all required training programs and documenting results per company guidelines. * Check and execute SAM Tasks (Task Management system) daily. * Assist in store's shrink awareness programs and provide corrective actions. * Assist with all daily store functions and activities including opening/closing procedures. * Abide by and uphold all company policies, internal controls, and procedures, including safety guidelines. * Protect company assets, implementing and executing all company programs and expectations. * Foster and actively promote a team environment supportive of diversity, individual development, and winning as a team. * Cover additional duties assigned by the Store Manager. * Available to open and close store.
