JOB SUMMARY:

Direct the day-to-day activities of counter sales, warehousing, production, and route deliveries for a medical branch. Hire, train and manage branch personnel. Overall responsibility for branch and operations safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages all branch personnel in accordance with company policies by hiring, training, motivating, planning and directing work, providing performance feedback, developing associates and resolving associate issues.

  • Accurately completes and submits all sales-related paperwork (e.g., shippers, invoices, cylinder audits, month-end reports, cash reconciliations, etc.) in a timely manner.

  • Evaluates and monitors day-to-day activities of a branch to ensure cost effective operations and makes changes to ensure same when required.

  • Coordinates sales promotion activities and responsible for maintaining and stocking merchandise and displaying it so that it is attractive to customers. Maintains a clean and attractive store.

  • Coordinates activities with other branches and/or immediate branch personnel to resolve any customer, sales or operational problems or inquiries. Issues are handled in a manner that enhances customer satisfaction.

  • Participates in the preparation of market and competitor information and annual sales analysis and forecast.

  • Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations. Files all accident reports with Safety Manager and regularly conducts branch safety meetings. Helps to ensure a safe work environment for all associates under his or her direction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or the equivalent, five years related experience and/or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with entering and extracting data into and from a computer using SAP. Proven ability to work effectively under deadlines and with little supervision and to complete a high volume of paperwork accurately and on time.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write report, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other associates, managers, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram or schedule form.

The associate must occasionally lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision and ability to adjust focus.

BM must review staff for proper scheduling for routes and vault operations. Manage routing of all City, Bank, ATM and OTR armored routes, to include the weekend routes, continuing to maintain the appropriate controls while establishing and maintaining route productivity standards. BM is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering policies and procedures, with overall supervision of operational activities as directed by the District Manager. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: The Branch Manager will be responsible for: 1) P & L controlling of Branch labor, revenue and profit margin. 2) Oversight and coordination of Recruiting, interviewing, testing, selecting, and training of operations personnel. Training, development, and performance evaluation of operations supervisors. 3) Oversight and coordination of route, dispatch, vault, and terminal operations through respective managers/supervisors. 4) Oversight and coordination of maintenance of vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment. See that preventive maintenance and repairs are performed in a timely manner. 5) Controlling the costs of operations. 6) Safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policies and procedures. 7) Security of cargo and terminal through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policies and procedures. 8) Investigating accidents and processing required paperwork. 9) Developing and maintaining customer service capabilities among all operations staff. Responding to customer inquiries and/or complaints. 10) Coordinating with sales, other Loomis branches and departments, Corporate staff, other carriers, and vendors. 11) Controlling overtime hours. Monitoring employee vacation schedules. Maintaining effectiveness and efficiency of route, terminal, and vault operations. 12) Short and long-range operational planning to meet branch goals. Skills / Qualifications Required: KEY RELATIONSHIPS: 1) Supervisors – The Branch Manager will consult with and accept advice/direction from the District VP on a regular basis. 2) Subordinates – The Branch Manager is responsible for the training, counseling, disciplining, conduct, and evaluation of supervisors and hourly employees under his/her direction on a daily basis. 3) Customers – The Branch Manager will communicate with customers on a regular basis. 4) Sales/Administration – The Branch Manager will communicate with sales and administration regarding updates of service, customers, and payroll issues.
