U.S. Bank is seeking a resourceful IT Generalist with installation and desktop support experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for all IT related activities (applications to infrastructure) in a large or complex facility/regional office.

  • Coordinates small to medium size technical projects.

  • Assists senior technical staff in the design and planning of installations for software and hardware applications.

  • Installs, maintains, and administers hardware, software, and network components. Ensures proper operation of local servers and peripherals.

  • Provides programming and administration support for local applications and databases. Installs, debugs, and troubleshoots operation support and automation systems, systems software and hardware applications, and support products.

  • Installs and supports local applications.

  • Evaluates and applies software and application updates; ensures backup and recovery capabilities.

  • Performs moves, changes, enhancements, and corrections to office layout for PC's, printers, and other hardware.

  • Provides technical support for workstations and office applications.

  • Suggests improvements to processes and procedures and works with senior technical management to implement improvements.

  • Provides technical expertise to Customer Service and Implementation peers throughout the enterprise as well as technical leadership and project management guidance to less senior Customer Service and Implementation staff.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 10 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.

Tasks Preventively maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, replaces and alters defective equipment. Provides maintenance on complex production equipment. Responsible for controlling inventory and requisitioning appropriate parts. Performs maintenance checks on buildings and equipment. Maintains electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Complies with company safety and sanitation guidelines. Performs general equipment repair and installation of safety equipment when necessary. Teams with production staff to encourage proper use and care of all equipment. Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area. Follow all required work safe practices. This would include lockout-tag out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately. Perform other duties as assigned. The team member must be willing to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds. Can effectively work in a team environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Requirements An Associate's Degree in Electrical Mechanical Science or 2 years minimum experience in a maintenance role, with minimum experience with one or more technical experiences including but not limited to Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer controlled equipment, and PLC. Propane Natural Gas License - large equipment, Boiler Operator High Pressure License and PLC Automation Controls experience preferred. Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
