The Branch Financial Specialist provides effective support of sales and service activities within the banking office and develops new business by educating potential clients.This is a hybrid position that supports both the Teller function and the platform.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interview customers to determine financial needs either by phone or in person both domestically and internationally.

  • Analyze needs and recommend appropriate products and services.

  • Act in the capacity of teller when necessary.Prepare paperwork and assist customer in properly documenting all required information to open new accounts including, but not limited to, DDA, TDA, CD's, and IRA accounts.

  • Enroll customers in appropriate online services.Input customer and account information into Core system.

  • Develop business through new and existing relationship management.

  • Deliver quality service to customers in adherence to service standards.

  • Assist customers in transaction requests.

  • Provide maintenance to customer accounts including but not limited to processing stop payments, address changes and wire transfers.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Bank regulatory requirements.

  • Knowledge of legal requirements involving proper account ownership identification and authorization.

  • Strong PC skills.

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years branch banking experience.

  • College preferred.

To learn more about Baptist Health, visit us at The Financial Clearance Analyst is responsible for ensuring accounts are financially cleared prior to service. The Analyst demonstrates proficiency in all phase of financial clearance including: scheduling, insurance verification, price estimation, verifying and obtaining authorizations, pre-certification, and medical necessity. The position will maintain a proficient understanding of third party payer regulations and guidelines for assigned service lines, including a working knowledge of medical necessity and authorization requirements. The Analyst will determine benefit and coverage levels and connect patients with financial assistance resources as needed. The Analyst will be proficient in all Patient Access processes including tasks routinely performed by a registrar, financial counselor, scheduler, or authorization associate. The position participates in denial analysis and improvement related to clearance activities. * High school graduate or equivalent required. * Preferred post-secondary education. * Minimum (3) three-years experience in healthcare business office setting required. * Hospital revenue cycle experience preferred. * Previous cash collections experience is preferred. * Certification preferred: CPAR or CHAA. * Knowledge of hospital billing and revenue cycle. * Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision and to work independently. * Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences. * Knowledge of common office software. * Ability to work in a fast paced often stressful environment. * Ability to work 9:30 AM - 6 PM shift. * The ability to de-escalate sensitive and rapidly changing situations. * Knowledge of federal, commercial and managed care payers.
