Position Summary:

Manage one or more branch offices to meet the financial service needs of the community while achieving branch profitability objectives; provide direct supervision to branch personnel; develop new business for the Bank as part of the business development program and objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field. A minimum of four (4) years relative banking or progressive financial industry experience.

Strong reading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, visual, auditory, interpersonal relations, management and sales skills; proficient lending, credit analysis and branch operating systems skills; proven track record in effective and productive sales calling to cultivate business development; sound working knowledge of Bank operating policies and procedures; effectively coach, mentor, motivate and earn trust to create a positive work environment where the staff aspires to do their best; competently handle high workloads, competing demands, interruptions and distractions with poise and ease; valid driver's license.

Essential Duties:

Manage and execute with the propensity to achieve optimal results by holding a team accountable for efficiently and effectively utilizing available resources and inspiring to exceed performance expectations; prepare a team for success by conveying the rewards and lessons learned; foster an environment of collaboration between retail, business lines and management.

Supervise, motivate and mentor the branch staff to ensure optimal client service is being provided; provide coaching to encourage positive trends and address performance gaps; ensure branch personnel is informed and knowledgeable of products and services; act as a positive role model for branch personnel by demonstrating a hands-on approach to management; inform and administer policies and procedures affecting branch operations; confirm branch operations are performed in accordance with these policies and procedures.

Ensure branch is properly staffed and personnel are trained; manage and approve non-exempt personnel time and attendance, planned and unplanned time off requests; assist in the selection of new personnel as applicable; supervise and provide proper branch security ensuring branch personnel are trained in all security areas; supervise preparation of branch reports; oversee branch maintenance and cleanliness; supervise opening and closing the building and vault; make necessary provisions for securing, and accounting of, negotiable papers.

Maintain business and social contacts in the Bank's marketing area to develop and retain new client business; participate actively in the Bank's sales and marketing program, including making effective business sales calls on prospects and attending local community events; manage branch daily in a manner assuring the attainment of branch annual goals and objectives; jointly establish sales and service goals with assigned supervisor; initiate actions to achieve those goals; actively contribute to the growth of retail loans and deposits to increase profitability; review market research to assess market characteristics, clients, financial services' needs and the competitive climate; monitor client service and branch sales performance on a regular basis; take action to correct changes in the objective or performance problems; review and complete a branch annual business review.

Conduct regularly scheduled (at least monthly) staff sales meetings; maintain a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of consumer products and services to ascertain client needs and to sell in conjunction with those needs; provide direct service to clients with respect to deposit, loan, trust and other products and services; initiate external and internal calls on existing and prospective clients to develop new business and retain or expand existing business; communicate and interface with other business lines and management to integrate goals, objectives and activities; provide periodic reports to Branch Administrator, other managers and appropriate personnel.

Make and process all types of loans to ensure adherence in meeting the Bank's established credit guidelines; provide required documentation in a correct and efficient manner; manage resolution of client complaints; monitor branch activities including transactions per hour, cash control, open and closed accounts, loan production and calling efforts; build and maintain client satisfaction by providing "On the Spot" service; maintain confidentiality, keep commitments, follow up and provide accurate assistance; engage in a deeper conversation with every client to uncover additional solutions; respond to client problems and requests researching account problems in an efficient manner; interact professionally with internal and external clients by acknowledging them through personal greetings, smiling and eye contact.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all bank products and services; refer clients to business partners and cross-sell bank products and services; process numerous types of transactions while engaging in conversation; perform the duties of a Client Service Representative and a Teller; prepare and maintain various records; determine payment decisions on Not Sufficient Funds (NSF) checks; complete and provide timely reports to immediate supervisor and other personnel as required; maintain an active National Mortgage Licensing System registration adhering to requirements.

Coordinate specific work tasks with personnel from applicable departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information; report pertinent information to immediate supervisor; compile information as necessary or directed and provide data to appropriate Bank personnel; respond to inquiries relating to the particular area and requests from clients, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and established policy.

Attend regularly scheduled coaching and counseling sessions held by supervisor/mentor to achieve the outcome of improved communication, action plan development, positive feedback, and performance improvement.

Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace; support risk management practices and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements. Perform tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job which may be altered or redesigned depending on individual circumstances.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office setting with little to moderate exposure to noise, heat, dust, or other adverse factors. Working extended hours may be required as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
