Responsible for the ongoing operations and fiscal management of their branch with primary concern for outreach activities, program and service delivery, human resources as it relates to club personnel, community relations and facility management. Branch Director directly supervises the Youth Development Supervisor, Sports & Fitness Coordinator, Art Coordinator, Education Coordinator and Branch Administrative Assistants.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Support and instill the mission, values, core beliefs, characteristics and principles of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale as well as Boys & Girls Clubs of America
Create an environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes as well as programs, services, and activities.
Establish, implement and/or enforce policies and procedures
Provide information to support management level decision-making.
Manage Branch financial resources assisting in the development of annual budgets. Control revenue and expenditures against budget.
Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including use of facilities by outside groups. Ensure compliance with organization policies.
Recruit, manage and provide career development opportunities for branch staff and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings.
Develop annual capital expenditure budget.
Program and Service Management
Ensure effective program planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
Provide regular reports to the Vice President of Operations.
Marketing and Public Relations
Provide weekly maintenance report to maintenance supervisor for projects.
Provide a clean, neat and appealing environment for members. Do regular walk through with contracted janitorial staff to address issues.
Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
Maintain vehicles and keep daily vehicle reports at the branch.
Assist Development and Marketing Departments with staff requests for organizational special events and photo/video opportunities.
Assume other duties as assigned.
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Maintains contact with appropriate Board committees. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise and counsel.
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize Club.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in a related field.
A minimum of five years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.
Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
Skills in fund-raising events.
Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
CPR / First Aid Certified.
Participation in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Academy, preferred.
