General Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Library Department Supervisor, performs the full scope of clerical and para-professional responsibilities in the operation of a Branch Library.

Education, Certification, & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid Driver's License
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Web Browsers, Outlook 365 Webmail, Polaris Integrated Library System Internet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.

Salary and Benefits
This is an hourly, non-exempt position, with a wage range of $ 14.31- $ 18.65 per hour. The pay range listed here reflects the FULL pay range for this position for the current fiscal year. Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Schedule
This is a part-time position. The normal work schedule is less than 19 hours per week; exact schedules are assigned by management. It is the attendance standard of the employer that all employees be present and on time each shift they are scheduled to work. Full or partial absence during any scheduled shift, arriving late, or leaving early, for whatever reason, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Time off may be approved if allowed by applicable policies covering illness, injury, or other personal emergency.
