As a Branch Ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to use your love of working with people and sharing product knowledge to play a vital role in our customers' banking experience. You'll also perform a wide variety of transactions including check cashing, deposits, transfers and withdrawals while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to established operational policies and procedures. Equally important is the ability to resolve customer inquiries quickly and efficiently, delivering an extraordinary customer experience. Our Branch team exists to enhance the financial lives of people in the communities we serve. Here's what we're looking for in you:

  • You're friendly and engaging and can connect with customers. Yep, you're a people personwhether you're helping folks with technology challenges, having casual conversation, or simply showing off some of the cool services and products we offer.

  • You will be able to reduce customer financial anxiety by helping to determine both personal and business financial needs. You'll get to pull in experts that can help guide your customers to their financial destination.

  • You're aware of the importance of being compliant when working at a bank. You'll ensure all, audit and security policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Bank policy and Federal regulations.

  • You'll support customers in all areas of the branch, from the cash handling and service needs, to rotating throughout the branch based on the customer needs.

  • The overall retail customer experience is improved with fewer handoffs; every Ambassador is equally "the expert".

  • You're naturally curious and like to learn. We'll teach you what Capital One has to offer our customers in products, services and experiences to help guide them in the right direction toward their financial goals.

  • You're digitally savvy. You'll showcase what's possible in our physical space and how to easily navigate our mobile and online experience, using the branch's laptops and iPads. Take an active role in educating customers on other banking channels as well as other products and services.

  • Are you a team player? If so, you will have the opportunity to work with an energized team of banking professionals and help inspire your teammates as they inspire you.

  • You'll research and answer customer inquiries with the intent of enhancing customer retention and engagement by leverage various tools and channels to recommend appropriate solutions.

  • You'll be able to travel between branches in assigned local area and support the market that you are assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification

  • At least 1 year of Retail, Sales or Customer Service experience

  • At least 6 months of cash handling experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • 2+ years of Retail, Sales, or Banking Experience

Responsible for the overall operations of branch and adherence to policies and procedures. Deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients and address escalated customer service issues as needed. Establish, retain and deepen relationships with new and existing clients. Accountable for leading all in-branch and outbound sales activities and ensuring the branch meets assigned goals. Maintains a strong working knowledge of Teller, CSR, BSM responsibilities and can function in role, when needed. Responsible for coaching and mentoring team members to expand knowledge of advanced products and services. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide leadership, coaching and support to direct reports. * Provide quarterly coaching to staff, performance feedback, and completes performance appraisals as scheduled. * Consistently provides excellent client services to external and internal clients. * Supervises the branch platform and teller line operations to ensure service quality, accuracy, efficiency and risk management. * Ensure branch compliance with all policies, procedures and applies applicable regulations, particularly as they pertain to audit, security, compliance and internal controls. Ensures that monthly branch audits are completed accurately. Exercises good judgement when handling exceptions to policy. * Proficient with setting up complex accounts, related services and account maintenance. Advises clients on bank products and services and refers to other business partners as appropriate. Resolves issues related to banking services and accounts. Ensures prompt response and follow up to client account inquiries and escalated customer servicing issues. * Ensure that all appropriate new account documentation is collected and in compliance with our new account policies and procedures . * Responsible for branch vault and cash supply, when applicable. Prepares, receives, and processes cash shipment per procedures, ensuring adequate currency supplies at all times * Ensure proper completion of CTRs, balancing of the ATM, Night Drops deposits and balancing TCR as applicable * Maintain accurate branch teller difference record within the established guidelines * Ensure branch is open on time and ready to conduct business each business day. Delegate various operations duties to branch staff while maintaining overall administrative responsibility. * Responsible for organizing branch work schedules to maintain adequate coverage during business hours. Assist at other branches as necessary and participate on Saturday rotations. * Lead branch sales activities such as cross-selling of products and services and outbound calling activities to generate new deposits. * Conduct outbound sales calls independently and in partnership with other internal partners to existing customers and prospects. * Lead Branch team meetings to discuss operational, security, sales, service, product mastery and other topics as necessary. * Participate and provide input/feedback during Branch Manager meetings , team conference calls and one/one meetings. * Other duties as assigned.
