Brake/Tire Specialist

Automotive Technician Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete brake inspection and repairs

  • Work in production line

  • Mount, dismount, and balance tires

  • Maintain cleanliness of work area

  • Occasionally road test vehicles

  • Use U-Haul's electronic pre-inspection program

Automotive Technician Minimum Qualifications:

  • Driver's license

  • Basic knowledge of Ford and GMC equipment

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the hottest areas in the market, moving databases from legacy to modern technologies and into public clouds such as AWS, Azure and GCP.</p><p>Work you'll do</p><p>Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Build</li></ul><ul><li>Design databases, programs, and scripts independently with minimal or no handholding.</li></ul><ul><li>Leadership</li></ul><ul><li>Guide and mentor the junior members of the team.</li></ul><ul><li>Delivery</li></ul><ul><li>Manage and deliver database migration projects for client engagements that identify, design, and implement migration solutions for creative and large businesses. Responsibilities include, among others,</li></ul><ul><li><p>Identification of migration approaches</p></li><li><p>Developing database migration plans for database schema, objects, data, etc.</p></li><li><p>Identifying and creating migration tools and timeline for execution</p></li><li><p>Performing database migration activities e.g., DB2 to PostgreSQL</p></li><li><p>Creating capacity estimates and plans</p></li><li><p>Performance tuning of database and SQL statements to meet business objectives</p></li><li><p>Deployment Activities</p></li></ul><ul><li>Planning and execution for production deployment of the migrated database including deployment activities such as:</li></ul><ul><li><p>Setting up production data server databases as per the architecture diagram i.e., High Availability, Redundancy, Disaster Recovery, etc.</p></li><li><p>Dry runs for data migration of high volume of data within a defined amount of time</p></li><li><p>Data migration from source to target during multiple project phases including System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, Performance Test, and Production go-live</p></li><li><p>Support post-production database issues during the 60-90 days post go-live and provide client specific training</p></li><li><p>Deliverables</p></li></ul><ul><li>Create and maintain database deliverables such as project schedule, data migration plan, test plan, and database administration guide among others</li></ul><p>The team</p><p>At Deloitte Consulting LLP, Deloitte Application Modernization &amp; Innovation consultants leverage the best of innovative technology, people, and delivery approaches to help our clients dream, explore, build, and optimize their future.
