What it takes to be a Brake Press Operator with MEC:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training is preferred.
Ability to train and work with others (Team Concept).
Reliability

What you will be doing as a Brake Press Operator:

Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds dies in position.
Writes part programs and stores in machine.
Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints.
Positions work piece manually or with crane.
Starts machine to lower ram or depresses pedal to activate ram that bends or cuts metal.
Verifies dimensions of work piece and make adjustments if necessary.
Other duties as assigned

We have some of the most state-of-the-art equipment and machines in the business.We're looking for Laser Operators that exhibit a strong work ethic, dependability and who also believe in our company values.We Offer:<ul><li>Competitive Wages</li><li>Highest Shift Premiums in Area</li><li>State of the art equipment/machines</li><li>$1,000 Sign on Bonus</li><li>401K Match</li><li>On Site Health Center with Benefits starting after only 30 days</li></ul>Why Should you Apply at MEC?<ul><li>Now under new Leadership</li><li>Continuous Learning Opportunities</li><li>Flexible Scheduling Options</li><li>Weekly Kaizen Events/Lean Management Improvements</li></ul>What it takes to be a Laser Operator with MEC:<ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or two to three years related experience</li><li>Computer understanding</li><li>Ability to read blueprints</li><li>Ability to train and work with others (Team Concept).</li><li>Reliability</li></ul>What you will be doing as a Laser Operator:<ul><li>Reads job order to determine machine programming requirements.</li><li>Sets up machine parameters and power settings.</li><li>Calls up part number from computer to program machine.</li><li>Puts steel into machine to cut part.</li><li>Checks to print using various measuring devices to determine accuracy of part.</li><li>Perform part verifications.</li><li>Performs routine machine maintenance.</li><li>Performs simple laser programming.</li><li>Troubleshoots problems and adjusts machine as necessary to correct.</li><li>Assist Steel Shed Coordinator with unloading & receiving material as well as ordering</li><li>Instruct laser take off operators.</li><li>Assists with scheduling of nests.</li><li>Schedules machine maintenance with Maintenance Department.</li><li>Cross train Laser take-off and Laser Operator II employees as assigned by Supervisor.</li><li>Other Duties as assigned</li></ul>
