Position Summary
SUNY Ulster seeks to hire a part time as needed BPI Instructor/Proctor. Applicants may apply for one or the other or both positions.
Examples of Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in sustainability or closely-related technology field.
Teaching experience in an area of energy efficiency.
Industry experience in an area of energy efficiency.
BPI Certification
Desirable Qualifications for Instructor Position
A master's degree in energy efficiency or closely-related technology field.
A minimum of 30 credit hours of community college teaching experience.
Experience teaching with Blackboard or comparable online learning management system.
Personal and Professional Qualities
Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills.
An openness to continuing growth, professional development, and the acquisition of appropriate certifications in energy efficiency.
A strong commitment to the community college goals and objectives of providing quality courses and working effectively and with sensitivity in a multicultural environment with an awareness of, and commitment to, the needs of non-traditional and/or re-entry students having diverse abilities and interests.
