The BPI Delivery Manager manages complex, strategic projects of varying scales that span organizational boundaries involving external vendors and multiple divisions. Dotted line relationship may exist with this role. Strong negotiation skills are required. Project deliverables and analyses, such as project plans, value-stream mapping and graphical analyses will be required. This position will interact with senior division leadership and subject matter experts to deliver solutions that improve process performance by increasing productivity and efficiency. The role is responsible for managing the delivery of MIEvent and Six Sigma project solutions. By partnering with the Managers, Implementation Managers and Directors, the Delivery Manager shall understand the solutions required for each project and establish the appropriate plans to implement solutions.
This position is accountable for delivering BPI solutions. This includes planning, executing, monitoring and controlling the delivery of BPI solutions and work efforts within Compliance guidelines.
Plays a key role in the overall planning, execution and reporting of program related work efforts. Plans and prioritizes all deliverables and resources across multiple initiatives.
Develops, forecasts and monitors project budget.
Acts a liaison between Business and IT throughout testing lifecycle to ensure solutions are developed per client requirements.
May require partnering with EPMO managers to drive projects to completion.
Maintains, shares and stores project artifacts.
Partner with Finance to develop and track project metrics.
Monitor performance and implement key metrics.
Deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefits to meet annual targets.
Requires a BA or BS degree in a business, engineering, or relevant discipline from an accredited college or university.
Requires a minimum of five years of project management experience.
Requires a minimum of three years of experience driving or supporting business process improvement or process redesign efforts.
Additional licensing, certifications, registrations:
PMP or equivalent project management certification required
Industry recognized Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification a plus.
Proven project management and process improvement skills including strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Healthcare industry experience preferred
Fortune 100 experience preferred
Understanding of change management challenges related to process improvement
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead the work of others in large cross divisional teams
Excellent verbal / written communication skills required for executive level updates
Excellent presentation / facilitation skills
Ability to tie project goals to business goals
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining project artifacts such as project plans, risk response logs, communication and training plans, and lessons learned
Excellent time management skills
Demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships with others
Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions
Strong project management experience
Well organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven individual
Experience in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
Must be proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject, Visio)
