The BPI Delivery Manager manages complex, strategic projects of varying scales that span organizational boundaries involving external vendors and multiple divisions. Dotted line relationship may exist with this role. Strong negotiation skills are required. Project deliverables and analyses, such as project plans, value-stream mapping and graphical analyses will be required. This position will interact with senior division leadership and subject matter experts to deliver solutions that improve process performance by increasing productivity and efficiency. The role is responsible for managing the delivery of MIEvent and Six Sigma project solutions. By partnering with the Managers, Implementation Managers and Directors, the Delivery Manager shall understand the solutions required for each project and establish the appropriate plans to implement solutions.

  • This position is accountable for delivering BPI solutions. This includes planning, executing, monitoring and controlling the delivery of BPI solutions and work efforts within Compliance guidelines.

  • Plays a key role in the overall planning, execution and reporting of program related work efforts. Plans and prioritizes all deliverables and resources across multiple initiatives.

  • Develops, forecasts and monitors project budget.

  • Acts a liaison between Business and IT throughout testing lifecycle to ensure solutions are developed per client requirements.

  • May require partnering with EPMO managers to drive projects to completion.

  • Maintains, shares and stores project artifacts.

  • Partner with Finance to develop and track project metrics.

  • Monitor performance and implement key metrics.

  • Deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefits to meet annual targets.

Education/Experience:

  • Requires a BA or BS degree in a business, engineering, or relevant discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Requires a minimum of five years of project management experience.

  • Requires a minimum of three years of experience driving or supporting business process improvement or process redesign efforts.

Additional licensing, certifications, registrations:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification required

  • Industry recognized Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification a plus.

Knowledge:

  • Proven project management and process improvement skills including strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred

  • Fortune 100 experience preferred

  • Understanding of change management challenges related to process improvement

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to lead the work of others in large cross divisional teams

  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills required for executive level updates

  • Excellent presentation / facilitation skills

  • Ability to tie project goals to business goals

  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining project artifacts such as project plans, risk response logs, communication and training plans, and lessons learned

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships with others

  • Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions

  • Strong project management experience

  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven individual

  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies

  • Must be proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject, Visio)

Travel (If Applicable):

  • Regular travel to Horizon's offices in the State of New Jersey.

VIEW JOBS 7/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-10-16T00:00 Description: The BPI Implementation Manager I is responsible for conducting data collection and analyses to support process improvement programs and projects to reduce cost and complexity across the enterprise in support of the goals. The incumbent will draft and review project deliverables and analyses such as value-stream mapping and statistical analyses and supervise business process analysts in the project team environment. The incumbent of this position will interact with divisional leadership and subject matter experts to develop solutions that improve process performance by increasing productivity and efficiency and/or managing process demands while enhancing the customer experience. In addition to BPI project work, the incumbent must also plan and participate in BPI organization building and activities to help promote the BPI brand. Additionally, the incumbent may work in partnership with other BPI colleagues in support of cross-functional enterprise initiatives. Leadership: * Experienced process improvement practitioner with a focus on driving cost reduction * Execute complex process improvement initiatives with some supervision and guidance * Serve as a dedicated resource working directly with division leaders and staff to support process improvement * Report and communicate the results from process improvement efforts to division leadership including Sr. VPs and VPs and the VP of Business Process Improvement * Ability to influence leaders of the business and small teams without direct authority to make informed decisions that will have a positive operations impact. * Act as a change agent/coach to instill and sustain changes Effectively coach, mentor and assist Lean and Green Belt candidates for certification. * Build positive relationships and credibility with the BPI team and division staff. * Assess change readiness and prepare plans for helping stakeholders through change. * Utilize process improvement principles and tools to achieve significant improvement results. * Direct the analyses of process improvement analysts. * Drive for high quality results. Process Improvement: * Utilize Lean, DMAIC and Design for Six Sigma tools and methodologies to define activities that are aligned with business objectives. * Identify and manage project risks and issues that impact project progress. * Prepare detailed plans to track project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of project deliverables. * Develop practical solutions and methodologies to solve complex business problems. * Develop internal and external content for leadership team presentations. * Ensure deployment of common solutions across divisions and businesses. * Identify and present new project opportunities to leadership. * Develop and share best practices among fellow process improvement coaches and Clients. Financial Management: * Partner with Finance to develop and track project metrics. * Develop business cases using ROI models. * Develop control plans and monitor performance and improvement in key metrics. * Deliver significant operational improvement and financial benefits to meet annual targets. Education/Experience: * Requires a BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in engineering or finance. * Master's degree preferred. * Requires a minimum of 5 years business process improvement or process redesign experience. Additional licensing, certifications, registrations: * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from an industry recognized leader required or must obtain within one year of hire (e.g. American Society for Quality). Knowledge: * Healthcare industry experience preferred. * Experience in a multi-divisional corporate environment desired. * Understanding of change management challenges related to process improvement. * Proven project management and process improvement skills including strong knowledge of lean and Six Sigma methodologies. * Experienced with Minitab and/or other statistical software. * Must be proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
