POSITION: Boys Varsity Basketball Coach

LOCATION: Eagle, Idaho

JOB TYPE: 2024 -2025 Season

Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive basketball program that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our student-athletes and contribute to our school's athletic legacy. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute a well-structured basketball program that focuses on skill development, tactical strategy, and physical fitness.

Create and implement practice plans that promote individual and team growth.

Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.

Prepare student-athletes for competitive games and tournaments.

Teach and enforce the rules and fundamentals of basketball.

Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and games.

Collaborate with the Athletic Director and other coaches to support the overall success of our athletics program.

Qualifications:

Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.

Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and strategy.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Passion for working with student-athletes and helping them reach their full potential.

A commitment to promoting sportsmanship and character development in student-athletes.

Ability to pass background checks and meet all coaching certification requirements as mandated by the state of Idaho.
