JOB SUMMARY:

The Box Office Lead Agent will maintain the consistency and supervision of various shifts, and assist Supervisor/Sr. Supervisor/ Manager with any day-to-day activities. Will instruct and train new hires for the Box Office while assisting in implementing new information and training to existing agents as needed or required by Box Office Manager/Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor. Will also be able to process refunds, handle guest situations, and have all the knowledge available for the agents as it is needed at any given time.

  • Responsible for VIP and Executive ticketing at the direction of the Box Office Manager/Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor.

  • Responsible for seat inventory management as directed by the Box Office Manager/Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor.

  • Ensure smooth and efficient ticket operation and provide work direction and motivation to employees.

  • Responsible for all Box Office locations and Theater operations in absence of the Box Office Manager/Sr. Supervisor/Supervisor.

  • Review guest complaints and take appropriate action where necessary.

  • Supervision and training of new and existing Box Office Agents.

  • Assists with implementation of departmental policies and special projects.

  • Accuracy in all job related duties.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from subordinates, managers, customers, and general public.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 3. Ability to interpret and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

  • Knowledge in accounting procedures, cash handling and reconciliation practices. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

  • Strong computer skills and knowledge, handling casino guests, maintaining and releasing seating blocks, and event set-up using ticketing system.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum one-year customer service experience required.

  • Must be able to type at least 25 wpm. Excellent phone and written communications skills, plus have the temperament to work in fast-paced work environment under frequently changing conditions.

  • A working knowledge of Ticketmaster or other Ticketing system required.

  • Must be able to effectively discipline co-workers and provide a positive role model for the Team.

  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.

  • Must present a well-groomed appearance and friendly demeanor.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Required to sit, use hands to finger coordination/handle/feel, reach with hands, arms; talk and hear. Occasionally will stand, walk, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl and taste and smell. Occasionally will need to lift up to 25 lbs. Required to use close and ability to focus vision. Frequently will need to use distance, color, peripheral and depth vision. Occasionally the work environment will be wet or humid and contain moving parts. Occasionally the work environment will contain fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic fumes. The noise level occasionally will be very loud.
