What is a Box Office / Cashier?

A Box Office / Cashier will create a welcome environment for Customers. They will sells tickets to movies and special events while providing movie and event information. They will enforce film studio and theatre admission policies. This individual will clean and maintain the box office area. They are responsible for security of cash and tickets.

The Box Office Cashier may also be asked to double as the Concession Worker, Restaurant Worker, or Usher, as staffing needs require. As a result, such an Employee must also be able to perform the essential job functions of those positions.

A Day in the Life of a Box Office / Cashier:

  • Greets Customers and visitors in a professional manner.

  • Provides movie, special event, and general theatre information.

  • Suggests alternative movie selections, as appropriate.

  • Enters ticket sale, accepts payment, processes transaction, and makes correct change.

  • Prevents underage children from seeing adult audience (R-rated and NC-17 rated) movies.

  • Complies with film studio admittance policies, including any pass and/or discount ticket restrictions.

  • Processes pass admissions.

  • Voids passes, coupons, and discount tickets after the transaction has finished.

  • Processes refunds when necessary and completes any required forms.

  • Answers telephone in a professional manner.

  • Keeps box office area clean and clutter-free.

  • Responsible for cash balance at end of shift.

  • Updates box office marquees and displays.

  • Watches for safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports to management.

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

What You Will Need to Have:

  • Availability to work flexible shifts which include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

  • Requires regular and consistent attendance.

  • Ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities.

  • Ability to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend in English.

  • Ability to speak clearly and to hear or lip-read adequately.

  • Manual dexterity and an aptitude for mathematics is required to make change, operate computerized ticketing equipment, and change box office signage boards or displays.

  • Box offices are often small and enclosed spaces in which a Cashier is required to stand or sit for an extended period of time.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Accurate cash handling and math skills.

What Physical and Environmental Requirement You Will Need to Have:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.

  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.

  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.

Because it sits at the very center of the firm, TCIO directly influences the composition of the firm's balance sheet as well the activities of the firm's four main lines of business (LOBs): Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank, and Consumer & Community Banking. The Corporate Treasury Middle Office (CTMO) is part of the TCIO organization and provides support for the Firm in regards to both liquidity and structural interest rate risk (SIRR) reporting. Key responsibilities include: * Overseeing the operating model that supports the Firm's risk reporting process (i.e. balance sheet detail, forecasts, and assumptions). This includes the execution of key data integrity controls, reconciliations, adjustments, and analytics. * Coordinating the production of firm and regulatory risk reports (i.e. 5G, LCR, Stress, EaR, DV01, EVS) by agreed upon deadlines. This involves working with contacts globally to quickly research and explain variances in key risk measures and to facilitate sign-off by senior risk stakeholders prior to report distribution internally and to regulators. * Partnering with internal data source providers and risk stakeholders across all lines of business to complete data investigations and resolve data quality issues with the goal of improving the timeliness and accuracy of all risk reporting on a continual basis. * Responding to internal or regulatory requests to complete ad hoc data analysis or produce custom reports as needed. The team has locations in North America (Delaware and NYC), Europe (London) and Asia (Hong Kong, India). Responsibilities: The CTMO Vice President will be responsible for the following: * Managing the production environment for all key interest rate risk reports distributed by the team including Basis Point Value (BPV), Economic Value Sensitivity (EVS), and Earnings at Risk (EaR) while working internally with key process stakeholders to track status, facilitate and track resolution of issues, and present updates at key stakeholder reviews periodically. * Continuing to improve the end to end data process by working with CTMO peers, TCIO Technology, the Project Management Office and LOB stakeholders to continually improve the end to end operating model and the quality of data sourced. Partnering with the same groups to implement change in support of strategic cross LOB initiatives will also be required. This will include ongoing improvements to the interest rate risk reporting platform called ALMonD (Asset Liability Management on Demand) and the build out of a new strategic data lake called "Everest". The individual will also be expected to adopt and develop the skillset in the team to utilize robotics process automation tools to tactically solve problems (Ateryx and Xceptor). * Managing and developing a small team of people in support of the end to end process including training, performance reviews and talent development. * Facing off with internal and external auditors and regulators as needed. The team is audited at least twice a year and responds to several ad hoc regulatory requests. * Coordinating updates to internal risk stakeholders and managing relationships as needed to ensure services levels are well defined and achieved on a continual basis. * Leading business review and metrics meetings with internal business and risk stakeholders to review KPIs\KRIs and the status of key issues and change management initiatives. * 7+ years' experience in financial operations. Prior experience in risk\financial reporting, balance sheet analysis and\or asset and liability management is a plus. Understanding of interest rate risk measures BPV, EVS, EaR is also a plus. * Prior experience managing data. Understanding of JPM's Financial Risk Warehouse (FRW\Everest) is a plus. * Familiarity with system development lifecycle from project initiation, requirements definition, user acceptance testing through implementation. * Strong analytical skills including the ability to complete data investigations and summarize findings in a clear and meaningful way. * Proven leadership experience including ability to facilitate project and process improvements across a large organization. * Prior experience managing and developing a team of people. * Strong technical skills (particularly in MS Excel). Experience with SQL, Robotics Process Automation or data visualization tools such as Tableau are a plus. * Independent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision making talents. * Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multitask, and bring tasks to complete closure. * Organized and able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive level presentations.
