Under the leadership of the Bowyer Treatment Center Director and Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager provides direct supervision to Bowyer Infusion Center employees, including nurses, admin/clinical care partners, and hospital assistants. Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in Bowyer and serves as a role model.

Analyzes and resolves problems, interprets policies (e.g., nursing, fiscal management, HR, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources.

Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives. Provides and/or assigns coverage in all areas, as needed, during staff absences.

This Assistant Nurse Manager role will provide critical management support on weekends, and will also collaborate with weekday staff one day each week, Mon-Fri, for a total of 24 hrs/week.

Qualifications

BSN or MSN, required

Current valid CA RN license, required

BLS from the ARC or AHA, required

ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, required

3 years of oncology experience as an RN, required

2 years of charge RN or leadership experience

Nursing professional leadership certification, preferred.
