SUMMARY
The Bowling Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Bowling Center and Crossfire Bar and Grill, as well as responsible for organizing and maintaining all data associated with the Bowling Leagues in addition to the regular job functions of Bowling Center Assistant Manager. The Bowling Assistant Manager is required to organize and maintain proper appearance of the bowling center control desk, guarantee prompt, courteous and team minded service throughout the entire department, adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards, and ensure hospitable, smooth, and efficient guest service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversee day-to-day Bowling Center and Crossfire Bar and Grill operations
Assist Bowling Center Manager with:
o interviewing and hiring.
o team member training, advising, task delegation and coaching.
o procurement and inventory.
o managing labor and equipment costs.
o guest bookings and venue rate inquiries by email, phone and through Conqueror.
Maintain all league computer data and paperwork, ensure Bowling Center is ready for each league prior to their start time.
Work closely with League Officers concerning any problems or situations that may arise over the course of the season.
Attend League meetings as a Representative of the Bowling Center to answer any questions concerning the League rules, scheduling, or any topic of concern.
Attend Bowling Center management meetings and give updates on the Bowling department.
Supervise all Bowling/Crossfire Attendants and Servers.
Listen and respond to team member inquiries and instructions in a positive, respectful manner
Ensure all team members follow and apply GRAND guest service standards to internal and external guests
Provide direct feedback and consistently relay accurate company news and information to team members.
Ensure bowling machines, scoring system, lanes, bumpers, and all other related items are functioning and in proper working order. Assisting with troubleshooting equipment and placing work orders as needed.
Ensure daily checklists for tasks, safety, and lane tagging are completed.
Mediate and respond to guest inquiries to provide guest satisfaction; first escalation point of contact for guest concerns or issues.
Follow proper Cash handling and POS operating procedures.
Complete daily End-of-Shift report and communicate daily shift analysis to upper management.
Create, enforce, and follow GSR approved Standard Operating Procedures.
Meet requirements of regular attendance to effectively complete job responsibilities in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bowling center.
Maintain up-to-date operating knowledge of BLS and Conqueror software.
Interact with other departments (i.e., receiving dock, security, EVS) as required.
Take on full managerial duties when necessary.
Any other jobs or tasks as assigned by management.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Able to effectively deal with guests, management, and team members.
Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
May be required to work varying schedules, including extended hours, that reflect the business needs of the company.
Follow instructions, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Able to engage in physical activity on a continuous basis and remain alert throughout the duration of the shift
Can remain calm during emergency situations.
Consistently exhibits courteous, respectful, and appropriate communications and presents information in a concise and understandable format.

Self-motivated and detail oriented, ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Possess strong leadership skills.
Possess sound judgement and decision-making skills
Above average math skills as consistent measurements, inventory, and cash handling are required.
Comfortable using computer operating systems and tools, including Microsoft Windows and Office Suite programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to learn, use and dispense USBC rules and regulations.

Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, bowling and casino environment.
