Provides complex technical assistance in support of an advanced technology Two-Satellite Geolocation system. Provides system engineering services in the areas of systems integration and test (I&T); systems fielding and site activation; sustainment and multifunctional logistics, operations and maintenance (O&M); and training.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions)
Systems Integration and Test
Prepares System Integration Plans
Prepares component, subsystem, and system level test procedures
Overseas all System Integration and Test activities
Systems Fielding and Site Activation
Participate in site surveys
Use a holistic/systems approach to site fielding and activation planning
Sustainment and Multifunctional Logistics
Perform System Safety Assessments
Analyze performance/failure data and suggest ways to improve system RAM
Provide on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) O&M assistance
Resolves operational and technical issues with the system
Perform System Admin, Database Admin, and IA activities
Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance (PM/CM)
Ship, order, track, and receive parts
Serve as a SME Support updating and modifying course material as required by system, doctrinal, or environmental changes
Deploy to OCONUS sites for up to 60 days at a time
May provide work leadership to lower level employees
Bachelor's degree in related field such as information systems, engineering, etc. or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years system design experience, including hardware/software integration
Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
A Top Secret/ SCI security clearance
Working knowledge of common SATCOM equipment
Two-Satellite Geolocation experience, Bounty Hunter preferred
Understanding of Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux Ubuntu operating systems
Systems Integration and Test experience
Must be able to lift and carry forty pounds
Master's degree preferred
Experience installing complex hardware/software systems
Experience writing software scripts to automate routine tasks
Data analysis and requirements generation experience
Experience with MySQL databases and Apache Web Servers
An understanding of adversary SATCOM EW capabilities, tactics, and techniques
