Summary:

Responsible for the day-to-day operation and direct supervision of all activities within the Hotel Operations departments to include Front Office operations, Valet, Housekeeping, EVS and Gift Shop if applicable. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff

  • Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership

  • Establish standards of service within assigned department(s) and ensure achievement

  • Monitor and control labor within the department while maintaining adequate coverage in the department based on business demands

  • Assist with ongoing amalysis of financial reports to monitor th profitability and ecpenses with the hotel operations departments

  • Monitor maintenance and appearance of assigned departments and provides suggestions for improvments needed

  • Develop, coordinate, prepare and help implement project plans to support initiatives designed to improve operations

  • Maintain positive working relationships with ither departments

  • Work calmly and professionally in busy work environment while effectively mulit-tasking

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position

  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards

  • Works on special projects as assigned

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 3 years Hotel experience with at least 1 year Hotel Management experience

  • Ability to provide legible communication and directions

  • Compute quickly and accurately basic math calculations

  • Maintain confidentiality of guest/personnel information and pertinent hotel data

  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer functions

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 2 year college degree preferred

  • Fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

  • Walk, stand, sit or stoop 100% of the time

  • Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Work for sustained periods maintaining concentrated attention to detail

  • Regularly use tools requiring a large degree of dexterity

  • Vision, hearing, speaking and literacy (critical)

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

  • Work inside in loud, noisy, smoky environment that is either hot or cold

  • Communicate via radio
