We are hiring a Bottling Technician to join our Production team at our Wisteria Lane location. This is a permanent full-time position with benefits (not just for harvest). The successful candidate is someone with previous experience with bottling and general cellar knowledge. Under general supervision, the Bottling Technician assists with case stacking, movement of finished goods, quality control, and general bottling procedures. You will also assist the winemaking team with transfer, racking, pump-overs, and other production duties throughout certain times of the year. As a Bottling Technician, you will support the training of the Cellar Worker I's, as well as seasonal staff, as needed.

This is an on-site position based in Paso Robles, CA and the work schedule is Monday

• Friday (7:00 am

• 3:30 pm) with the exception of harvest season, when overtime and weekend work may be required.

Job Description

• Accurately records lot numbers and quantities of packing materials used during daily production with a tablet device and scanner

• Conducts thorough visual inspections of wine bottles and case boxes on the conveyor belt, identifying and reporting defects or packaging inconsistencies in capsules, labels, and glassware

• Assist with other general bottling line tasks as needed, such as loading the box machine, applying pallet stickers, stacking finished cases, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment

• Gases head space on partial tanks and records accurate measurement of volume

• Mixes tanks as needed for cold stability and samples tanks

• Monitors the temperature of wine tanks

• Transfers, racks, filters, and blends wines

• Makes chemical and yeast additions to wine

• Performs volume calculations for wine blending and wine movements

• Responsible for sanitation of cellar area equipment and tanks

• Assists in set-up and clean-up duties, including hosing down floors and storing packaging materials

• Responsible for monitoring and replenishing cellar inventory of supplies

• Operate forklift at a competent level while adhering to facility safety standards when needed

• Assists with all other harvest duties

• 1 consecutive year of bottling and harvest cellar experience required

• Strong Communicate Skills desired

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment

• Manual labor involved - ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds required

• Flexible and willing to work overtime and weekends

• Ability to work in a cold or hot climate daily

• Must be able to perform basic calculations

Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
