Job Description
We are currently seeking an Account Executive who will report to the Vice President of Wholesale & Concession as part of our dynamic team in New York.
Your opportunity
The Account Executive role is accountable for strategically managing Bottega Veneta's wholesale business through partnership with major department stores and independent retailers. The role's main objective is to actively drive full price sales and productivity, selling seasonal collections during the campaign and identify revenue-driving opportunities by analyzing current sales, competitive landscape and future trends. The Account Executive will build strong relationships with wholesale clients, and internal partnerships with Product and Customer Service teams to maintain a smooth flow of goods. In addition, this role is responsible for executing initiatives to drive healthy in-season business and grow categories in partnership with Merchandising counterparts. This position requires domestic and international travel.
How you will contribute
Account Management
Consistently achieve monthly and seasonal sales plans and annual invoicing target
Build relationships with buyers and store staff through consistent open communication
Leverage analytical ability and create selling reports to drive business
Actively monitor the market to develop product expertise and identify new business opportunities
Create and review weekly & monthly selling recaps (by client & category) with actions to drive sales
Align with accounts on financial plans and sales targets prior to start of the season
Drive incremental sales by monitoring seasonal reorder opportunities, stock levels and permanent programs
Monitor shipping for responsible accounts
Monitor stores' presentation and performance ensuring they meet brand standards
Create WW briefs for marketing / asset requests for responsible accounts
Perform projects and assignments as needed/directed by Manager
Ensure the highest level of customer service with all partners
Seasonal Selling Campaigns
Present collection to clients during market appointments in Milan
Partner with Merchandising and Central Product teams to present the best product offering
Collaborate with accounts on seasonal buys, providing targeted data-driven feedback
Market week preparation including appointment scheduling, analyze current business to create strategies for the upcoming collection
Enter clients' orders during sales campaign and send client order confirmations once finalized
Suggest replacements for cancellations to ensure sales are not lost
Manage virtual appointments for clients who do not travel to Milan
Track customer orders during the campaign to ensure seasonal target is achieved
Product Training/ Merchandising
Coordinate with BV Training and wholesale colleagues to create and present training decks for in-store teams, including product knowledge, selling tips and VM guidelines
Market Visits to assess product assortment and presentation, stores competitor benchmarking, visual set up, events, new opening etc.
Partner with VM in order to guarantee brand-appropriate presentation in store
Open communication with Merchandising on category performance and opportunities
Who you are
Minimum 3 years of wholesale experience, preferably in the luxury market
Proven ability to thrive in a goal-driven, fast-paced environment, with the objective to exceed financial targets
Exhibit a strong work ethic, leadership skills, high energy level, and detail/team oriented
Complete Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel (including v-lookups, Pivot tables, formulas) and Word. Experience using SKYPAD a plus.
Confident producing professional PPT decks to be presented to management
Possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of the Italian language is a plus
Ability to problem solve in a self-sufficient, resourceful manner resulting in creative solutions
Retail math skills
Capable to travel domestically and internationally, including seasonal markets in Milan
Ability to work flexible schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed for seasonal campaigns, market travel, and other business needs
