Summary:

Boston Whaler is seeking a highly analytical, data-driven individual responsible answering questions about the state of the business, generating insights, building and maintaining reports for all levels of the company. The Human Resources Analyst will have ownership and responsibility for data analysis of all HR programs and metrics, including leadership of continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function and various business units. This role will work closely with leadership and multi-level business functions to help define and create a reporting environment sustainable for actionable-analysis to support the long-term growth of the company. Although the core responsibilities of this role surround HR and business analytics, the HR Analyst may also partner with the HR Business Partners to support generalist activities and special project work. To succeed in this role, must have good presentation and communication skills and the ability to convey information in legible reports to human resource and business leadership.

This role will continue to look for ways to improve HR policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, and metrics

  • Partner with HR stakeholders to create action plans based on data insights and build analytical solutions to deliver business goals

  • Perform deep-dives in large data sets to identify opportunities, variances, or key indicators in the business - validate the data

  • Influence decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible / actionable reports

  • Create, document, and publish Standard Operating Procedures

  • Provide data analysis on employee turnover, overtime rates and costs, exit interviews, engagement activities, and other metrics on a regular basis

  • Troubleshoot data and reports.

  • Partner with HR Business Partner to support Generalist activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Recruitment

  • Requisition set up and approvals

  • Promotions/org changes

  • Interviews

  • L&D initiatives

  • SharePoint creation

  • Employer Branding; job fairs, social media, hiring videos, etc.

  • High-potential

  • Participation in development and implementation of HR related policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Identify and participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives and other department and/or company-wide projects.

  • Use visuals to effectively present and communicate analytics, data insights, and proposed actions plans to HR and cross-functional leadership.

  • Coach and assist in development of new team members.

  • Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Business.

  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong Analyst background required

  • Recent experience in a true Manufacturing environment of durable goods is preferred

  • Strong employee relations experience

  • LSS experience preferred

  • Open to potential relocations in the future preferred

Have what it takes? Join us. We are seeking an engineering student to join our Boston Whaler PD&E team in Edgewater, FL for the Spring 2018. Student will be provided with a hands-on learning experience giving an accurate view into the field of engineering. You will apply your classroom techniques and theories to real world engineering projects. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist Engineers in the development and execution of new product ideas into technically innovative manufacturable products. Products must comply/exceed all industry, government and regulations, internal quality standards and specifications. * Help Engineers complete tasks to support target schedules, as well as, maintain awareness of entire project schedule to ensure company product availability goals are met. * Assist Engineers in developing components within established cost targets to support company profitability goals. * Develop and create new product ideas in the form of 2D drawings and 3D solid or surface models. * Communicate and consult with equipment and component suppliers during design and to resolve technical issues. * Perform technical evaluations, testing and generate reports if needed. * Provide integration, issues resolution and trouble shooting support to manufacturing. * Generate documentation to support manufacturing including but not limited to construction drawings and process work instructions. * Generate systems related engineering changes (ECNs.) QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge/Education * Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related discipline required. A minimum of two years completed is preferred. Skills/Experience * Computer Aided Design experience; Unigraphics, SolidWorks, Catia or Pro E preferred. * Boating, fishing and/or marine industry experience a plus. * Proficiency in PC based tools with a focus on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, AS-400 and general web based applications. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.
