Summary:

Boston Whaler is seeking a highly analytical, data-driven individual responsible answering questions about the state of the business, generating insights, building and maintaining reports for all levels of the company. The Human Resources Analyst will have ownership and responsibility for data analysis of all HR programs and metrics, including leadership of continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function and various business units. This role will work closely with leadership and multi-level business functions to help define and create a reporting environment sustainable for actionable-analysis to support the long-term growth of the company. Although the core responsibilities of this role surround HR and business analytics, the HR Analyst may also partner with the HR Business Partners to support generalist activities and special project work. To succeed in this role, must have good presentation and communication skills and the ability to convey information in legible reports to human resource and business leadership.

This role will continue to look for ways to improve HR policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, and metrics

  • Partner with HR stakeholders to create action plans based on data insights and build analytical solutions to deliver business goals

  • Perform deep-dives in large data sets to identify opportunities, variances, or key indicators in the business - validate the data

  • Influence decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible / actionable reports

  • Create, document, and publish Standard Operating Procedures

  • Provide data analysis on employee turnover, overtime rates and costs, exit interviews, engagement activities, and other metrics on a regular basis

  • Troubleshoot data and reports.

  • Partner with HR Business Partner to support Generalist activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Recruitment

  • Requisition set up and approvals

  • Promotions/org changes

  • Interviews

  • L&D initiatives

  • SharePoint creation

  • Employer Branding; job fairs, social media, hiring videos, etc.

  • High-potential

  • Participation in development and implementation of HR related policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Identify and participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives and other department and/or company-wide projects.

  • Use visuals to effectively present and communicate analytics, data insights, and proposed actions plans to HR and cross-functional leadership.

  • Coach and assist in development of new team members.

  • Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Business.

  • 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong Analyst background required

  • Recent experience in a true Manufacturing environment of durable goods is preferred

  • Strong employee relations experience

  • LSS experience preferred

  • Open to potential relocations in the future preferred

Position Overview * Part and Prep a variety of hull and small parts molds following specifications and instructions. * Ensure parting of mold without damage. * Prep molds with proper materials. * Clean top of molds of scrap material. * Clean flange of molds before applying grease. * Wax molds for Gel coating. * Place hulls on proper dollies. * Clean plugs and plug holes after parting. * Ensure parting tool are in operating order. * Operate fork truck and overhead crane. * Move molds in and out bays per schedule. * Store molds in designated area and cover. * Clean up bays after parting molds. * Move molds in a way not to cause damage. * Perform departmental housekeeping. * Follows daily production schedule to complete in a timely manner. * Makes sure all work is performed in a safe manner. * May perform other duties as necessary. Physical Requirements * Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements will include eye protection, dust masks, respirators, hearing protection, gloves, and protective suits * Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching * Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (may be above 100 ambient degrees or below 10 ambient degrees in areas of production) * Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environment * Ability to work overtime (planned and unplanned) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required * Must follow all safety and quality standards at all times, including chemical handling standards and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) * Must be able to operate all equipment associated with job functions. * Must use judgment when moving molds. * Must complete classroom and on the job training. * Uses judgment in performing process requirements to meet established deadlines. * Must be able to detect mold defects. * Must keep tools in good working order. * Basic skills in forklift, overhead hoist, and computer skills preferred * Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions * Ability to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team environment displaying mutual respect * Ability to fluently speak, read, understand, and write English * High school diploma or GED required Shift: This position could be for first shift, 5:00am – 3:30pm or 6:00am-4:30pm, or second shift (4:30pm – 3:00am (Mon-Thurs). Overtime frequently required based on business needs. Boston Whaler reserves the right to adjust shifts and times as business needs arise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.
