Title: Cyber Security Technology Sales Engineer located in the Northeast

Solution: Cyber security technology Company with proven track record for preventing insider threat

Technology: data analytic and visual approach to manage and prevent insider threats to cyber security, including ability to identify the source, assess impact, and prioritize troubleshooting

{Xtra Efforts relationship with client: have successfully helped them hire other sales and professional service personnel; working with their EVP and other company leaders}

Compensation: On Target Earnings of up to $200k with no cap, 70% salary.

Responsibilities: responsible for supporting a prospects needs analysis, perform demonstrations and presentations, and product trials.

Maintain a broad-level of knowledge of Security industry trends (focused on Insider Threat) and how the platform adds value. Work to understand the customers business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design. Expected to perform tasks including demonstrations, trial guidance and assistance, installations, troubleshooting, and training of products. Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity

Candidate Must Have Criteria:

  • Advanced understanding of Windows platforms, client-server model design, and network infrastructure
  • Proficient knowledge of all current versions of Microsoft IIS installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting
  • Proficient knowledge of all current versions SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014) including but not limited to SQL Admin tasks, running queries, understanding database structures
  • Proficient knowledge of Active Directory and identity management
  • Proficient knowledge of networking - TCP\IP, subnetting, firewall administration, routing, and virtual private networks (VPNs)
  • Proficient networking troubleshooting skills - including but not limited to troubleshooting tools and procedures, protocol analyzers and log inspection Proficient knowledge in Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, etc.)
  • Experience of presenting to new and existing customers
  • Understand and be conversant about security best practices, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  • Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including:
      • Internet security
      • SIEM technologies
      • Database technologies
      • Data loss prevention solutions
      • Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
      • Insider Threat mitigation solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to make and take responsibility for decisions on major technical issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives
