Our stores can carry everything from text and trade books, technology, and school supplies to clothing, regalia, and food-- everything a college student desires, their parents want, and our faculty needs. Temporary positions require availability to work on a weekly basis for a period of 90 days or less with occasional weekends, and flexibility in scheduling for opening, midday, or closing shifts.


  • Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with the purchase of merchandise or services.

  • Shelve, arrange, clean, and organize product or space within the store to maintain an appealing sales floor.

  • Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.

  • Temporary positions require availability to work on a weekly basis for a period of 90 days or less with occasional weekends, and flexibility in scheduling for opening, midday, or closing shifts.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Frequent lifting.

  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.


  • Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to be considered for employment.

  • High-energy, friendly personality, with strong communication skills to interact with a variety of people.

  • Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs.

  • Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.

VIEW JOBS 12/4/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-03T00:00 Department Overview Temporary (January - April) Function/Duties of Position The purpose of this job/position is to function as a member of the Rehabilitation Services patient care team by providing speech/ language pathology services to the pediatric developmental and rehabilitation patient/client population. This position will have competency and experience with assessment and intervention activities for special populations including, but not limited to, autism, pediatric dysphagia, extreme prematurity, congenital brain anomalies, Rett Syndome, etc. The Speech/Language Therapist will evaluate each patient referred, establish effective treatment goals and objectives, develop and implement the treatment plan, providing family and caregiver training as needed, for successful carryover of strategies taught to improve developmental, speech, language, swallowing and cognitive skills of the patient/client. Therapists are expected to supervise students and Clinical Fellows and to assist with other educational and research activities conducted by the department, division, and/ or DCH and OHSU hospital. This position may include weekend shifts. Therapists evaluate each patient referred, establish treatment goals/objectives, develop and treatment plan and implement the plan. Therapists are expected to supervise therapy interns, assist with other educational research activities conducted by the department or the hospital and meet hospital standards regarding documentation and productivity. Required Qualifications * Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology * And possess a valid Oregon State license in Speech/Language Pathology * Current American Heart Healthcare Provider BLS Certification * Current ASHA Clinical Competency Certification * Acute Care or Inpatient Rehabilitation Student Affiliation * Competency and experience with assessment and interventions for special populations such as autism, pediatric dysphagia, extreme prematurity, congenital brain anomalies, Rett Syndrome and other specialty pediatric developmental and rehabilitation populations * Routine Inpatient hospital environment * Ability to lift 25 lbs. * Repeatedly carry equipment weighing more than 5 lbs. * Walk extensively on hard and soft surfaces * Frequent bending and reaching to navigate medical equipment or perform treatment * Able to frequently use keyboard and mouse for documentation and communications * Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation Preferred Qualifications * Acute Care Experience * Outpatient Adult experience Additional Details #LI-DM2 All are welcome Oregon Health & Science University values a diverse and culturally competent workforce.
