Our stores can carry everything from text and trade books, technology, and school supplies to clothing, regalia, and food-- everything a college student desires, their parents want, and our faculty needs. Seasonal employees can work in one or a variety of departments and are typically scheduled to work periodically throughout the year to support our peak periods or special events such as term/semester openings and closings and special events such as athletic events, book signings, and graduation.

Expectations:

  • Greet customers, answer questions, and assist with the purchase of merchandise or services.

  • Shelve, arrange, clean, and organize product or space within the store to maintain an appealing sales floor.

  • Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.

  • Seasonal positions require work during peak periods (i.e. semester starts and ends), occasional weekends, and flexibility in scheduling to work periodically during the school year.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Frequent lifting.

  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment.

  • High-energy, friendly personality, with strong communication skills to interact with a variety of people.

  • Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs.

  • Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.

Description Position Summary: The Lead Barista is responsible for the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the barista operation such as inventory, customer service, drink preparation, and sanitation procedures. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Essential Functions: * Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a team and oversees the completion of tasks * Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc. * Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages according to brand specifications and the customers' requests * Serves prepared food items * Maintains knowledge of menu items and recipes to effectively service the customer * Sets up and breaks down workstations, including cleaning and sanitizing * Maintains appearance of location ensuring product is stocked to appropriate levels and all areas are properly cleaned and sanitized * Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. * Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation * Ensures security of company assets * Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager Qualifications * Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred * Previous food service experience required * Must be able to obtain food safety certification * Must be able to work independently with limited supervision * Demonstrates excellent customer service skills * Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs Aramark Corp.
