The Bookkeeper/Office Manager position is a multi-faceted role combining bookkeeping, office administration, client management and a pinch of human resources; perfect for an individual who wants to be integral in growing a small business. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, autonomous, meticulous with details and personally invested in the success of our company. Essential Responsibilities ? Bookkeeping ? Monthly bookkeeping and reconciliation with QuickBooks Online ? Prepare, send, pay and oversee all bills, invoices, A/Rs and A/Ps ? Distributor deduction management, research and disputes ? Prepare monthly broker commission reports ? Track, review and report on sales data ? Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end reports are completed ? Collaborate with CPAs to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met ? Develop procedure checklists ? Office Administration ? Monitor and analyze operations to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources ? Create and maintain various databases; data entry as needed ? Maintain scheduling and event calendars ? Order and dispense supplies ? Light marketing tasks such as including social media content, email blasts, thank you notes Client Management/Human Resources ? Manage client relationships through all stages of the client life-cycle ? Phone and email communications; answer client questions; respond to concerns; receive and distribute messages to the appropriate parties ? Schedule and confirm meetings ? Follow-up with clients after initial contact ? Point of contact for independent contractors ? Review and approve independent contractor hours ? Field employee HR questions and requests and work with 3rd party HR firm to resolve


Qualifications: Bacherlor's Degree Preferred QuickBooks, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations

VIEW JOBS 1/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-15T00:00 <p>We are excited to offer this new opportunity to work with our growing team in new, modern offices next to the Van Zandt Hotel in downtown Austin.</p><p><br></p><p>This role is an hourly role with flexibility and the ability to grow into a full time role over then next couple of months as our company grows.</p><p><br></p><p>Hours are flexible but ideally you will work from 11:00 - 3:00, four or five days a week.</p><p><br></p><p>We embrace diversity and professionalism as a company. We are open to students, working parents, etc. who can also commit to a consistent work schedule so that we can plan accordingly. Work in the evenings and on weekends can sometimes be required but typically not more than 2 times per month and with more than 14 days advance notice.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>2 DAYS PER WEEK</strong></p><p>Bookkeeping experience - one year minimum required</p><p>Ability to close books on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis</p><p>Expense reporting</p><p>Monthly reconciliation </p><p>Invoicing</p><p>***experience with XERO bookkeeping is desired</p><p><br></p><p><strong>1-2 DAYS PER WEEK</strong></p><p>Manage general office cleaning to supplement weekly cleaning service.</p><p>Prepare weekly 'Lunch &amp; Learn' luncheon for staff of 8-10 people.</p><p>If you enjoy cooking then that's great. If you don't, that's fine too.</p><p>Run basic office errands, like picking up printing.</p><p>Place food and receive food order to stock the company kitchen.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>As needed basis:</strong></p><p>Manage, cleanup and assist with events. These can be during weekday, in evenings and/or on weekends.</p><p>First one is in late February and there are 4 in middle of March.</p><p></p><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><p>Clean and kept physical appearance.</p><p>You will be required to wear company logo apparel at some events.</p><p>Reliable transportation to and from our office.</p><p>You DO NOT have to have a car or a drivers license.</p><p>Must be able to speak and read English clearly.</p><p><br></p><p>Must be willing and able to pass a background check.</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Future advancement is possible.</p><p>Schedule flexibility is possible but needs to be roughly the same each week for planning purposes.</p><p>We embrace diversity and professionalism as a company.</p><p>You will be supporting an important technology to help more people become employed in great jobs.</p> Thisway Austin TX
