This Bookkeeper position is located in the beautiful St. Helena, California area and will be a long term temporary opportunity. Major responsibilities: -Wholesale P.O. management/sales order processing? most important aspect, this role requires top notch communication both via email and verbally, ability to talk to various people and stay organized with brokers/warehouses/customers at once

  • Organize a structured method to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures

  • Time management

  • Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

  • Balance accounts by reconciling entries

  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information

  • Outline Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits

  • Sustain collections of historical records by organizing documents

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with accounting software

  • General familiarity with payroll

  • Excellent time management

  • Adeptness in accounts receivable and accounts payable

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Sage 50

  • Practical knowledge of switchboard phones from 1-10 lines

  • Proficiency in certificates of deposit

  • Inventory experience highly preferred

  • Cash posting experience preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of bank reconciliations

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred

The Front Office Manager oversees the Guest Service Staff including Front Desk, PBX, Concierge and Bell. As Front Office Manager, you will * Oversee and manage the Guest Service Staff to ensure efficient operations and impeccable guest care, helping to achieve profit goals. * Attend to guest and group special needs and attend to guest concerns with confident graciousness. * Keep a pulse on daily revenue and expenses to minimize loss, manage expense and maximize profit. * Involved in recruitment, onboarding and training, coaching and counseling, payroll and HR tasks. * Skillfully manage the Guest Service Team by creating an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. * Lead a diverse team by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle. * Act as Manager on Duty. You must be able to handle cash or credit transactions and have Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency. General office equipment and cash register operation knowledge is expected.
