Bookkeeper

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Plano, TX! This is a hybrid role where the employee will be expected to report to the Plano office 50% of the time. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper at Tapcheck, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You will work closely with our Accounting department and report directly to the Controller.

What You'll Do:

• Manage daily reconciliations and loss of transactions, auditing vendor charges
• Bank reconciliations/GL in addition to payroll and administrative tasks
• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
• Bookkeeper with A/P, A/R, Payroll and Month End Close Experience

What You'll Bring:

• Ability to report to the Plano, TX office 3x a week
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in bookkeeping or related field
• Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite
• Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
• Extensive knowledge of daily reconciliations and loss of transactions
• Extensive knowledge overseeing Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
