Bookkeeper

Smoker & Company LLC, a successful, busy CPA firm with multiple offices in Lancaster and Berks County, is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. Smoker & Company and its related Family of Companies provide various business services such as bookkeeping, payroll, legal services, consulting, wealth management, and property management, among others. Their mission is to meet the total accounting, tax, and business development needs of their clients and enhance the value of their businesses and individuals they are privileged to serve. As a Bookkeeper, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this mission and support clients in an important role.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate and timely financial records for multiple clients
• Recording financial transactions, updating statements, and checking financial records for accuracy
• Completing month-end closing procedures
• Handling client billing and accounts payable and receivable
• Generating financial reports for clients as needed
• Reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts
• Assisting client with special projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Prior experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred
