The short term temporary-to-fulltime Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Santa Clara, California. We are looking for people who can establish and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements. Your responsibilities in this role Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed Following progress of fixed assets to prepare depreciation schedules Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements - Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities Ability to work independently with minimal oversight A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended 3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets Prior payroll experience preferred Excel and Peachtree experience desired Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Financial reconciliation experience highly desired Practical knowledge of full charge bookkeeping Bank reconciliations experience preferred Knowledge of accounts receivable Demonstrated knowledge of QuickBooks Solid understanding of accounts payable Strong familiarity with account reconciliation Adeptness in payroll taxes General familiarity with QuickBooks Pro Please contact Darren with your resume at
