The Bond Division is currently searching for a customer focused Bond Assistant to work out of either our Salt Lake City or Phoenix offices.

Responsibilities

  • Will perform a variety of moderately complex policy administration tasks in support of our Seattle, Sacramento and Walnut Creek offices.

  • Communicates with agent/broker, insureds and underwriters to provide the information needed to provide quotes, issuances, renewals, endorsements, etc.

  • Enters rate, premium and/or policy information into appropriate systems for policy updates/issuance.

  • Utilizes various systems for research and tracking of information.

  • Maintains file accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Must have 2-4 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role.

  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts is helpful.

  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel experience is required.

  • Must be able to work independently and be detail-oriented.

What you're good at Bond Investment Specialists act as an ambassador of Fixed Income at Schwab to educate, guide, and assist clients. Execute transactions and provide guidance based on client's objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance. * Be consultative - Recommend solutions, when appropriate, to clients which align to their goals. We also partner with the client's wealth planning team for identified business development opportunities. * Build strong client and internal relationships - Collaborate in a team based environment with a diverse group of professionals focused on meeting the needs of the clients and Charles Schwab & Co. What you have * Active and valid series 7 & 63 (or 66) licenses * Financial services experience, an aptitude and willingness for learning Fixed Income (Treasuries, CD's, Municipals, Corporates, Preferred Securities, Bond Funds, Bond ETFs, Professionally Managed Portfolios, and Bond Ladders etc.) * Demonstrated experience interacting with clients in a proactive and consultative manner * Desire and ability to learn portfolio analysis in order to conduct Fixed Income planning conversations with clients as needed * Possess a collaborative and relationship-focused work style with demonstrated success in a team environment * Must possess effective time management & communication skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic with a high level of integrity. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively mitigate risk and adhere to trading accuracy, while adhering to policies, procedures and guidelines Why Schwab?
