JOB SUMMARY

As part of our recent growth, we are seeking a Bolt Boards position for our team. The ideal candidate is expected to support external customers' needs by quickly and efficiently filling bolt board templates for aerospace industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Ship and receive templates on a daily basis.

  • Log into computer program and scan barcodes at beginning and end of each job order.

  • Match bolt board template to bolt board overlay by identifying the corresponding ID numbers.

  • Using template overlay, fill templates with bolts.

  • Measure all bolts with calipers to ensure accuracy and uniformity.

  • Closely follow production work orders to produce product and assure compliance to specifications that will eliminate defects, scrap and rework.

  • Closely follow job delivery schedule to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Detect and report defective equipment and materials to proper supervision.

  • Replenish bolt stocks with accuracy on a daily basis.

  • Daily maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Follow prescribed work rules and standard safety regulations at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift or move 10lbs constantly and up to 25lbs frequently.

  • Constant periods of standing and sitting throughout the workday.

  • Constantly required to use fingers/hands/arms to grasp, pinch, pull, feel and reach.

  • Frequent periods of walking.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to focus.

  • Use of industry standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Definitions:

Constant (5-8 hrs. /shift)

Frequent (2-5 hrs. /shift)

Occasional (Up to 2 hrs. /shift)

  • Knowledge or experience working in an inclusive work environment, particularly those persons with disabilities.

  • Ability to perform mid-level math skills efficiently and with good accuracy.

  • Basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic computer skills.

  • Attention to detail, and high organization skills.

  • Ability to identify, organize, estimate and recognize differences or similarities.

  • Adaptable to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.

  • Accepting of criticism and ability to deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations.

  • Must be able to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete tasks assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented, and ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.

  • Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma/ GED or equivalent experience.

SALARY PAY RANGE

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Skills Inc. is a self-supporting Social Enterprise and is organized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit. We have four lines of business; Aerospace Manufacturing, Aerospace Finishing, and Business Solutions, that operate in 3 locations. Skills Inc. employs over 250 people and our social mission is to train, employ and serve persons with disabilities. We accomplish our mission three ways; direct hire, vocational programs and services, and as a resource to the community.

Salary Pay Range: $17.00- $20.00
