Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Body Shop Parts Advisor is responsible for provide guidance and assistance on the selection and procurement of required parts per the manufacture guidelines.

  • Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner

  • Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line

  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information

  • Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate

  • Pull and fill orders from stock

  • Notify body shop parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention

  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary

  • Notify all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received

  • Pull orders for delivery to the parts department, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number

  • Follow up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily

  • Verify will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required

  • Assist outside sales representatives with their orders

  • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, and able to maintain a professional image and demeanor

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook) is a must

  • Ability to speak multiple languages is always a plus

  • Previous automotive parts experience or military equivalent experience preferred

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & drug test)

Insurance / Retirement: * Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plans * Up to 8 weeks paid pregnancy leave (disability leave) * Health savings * Flex spending accounts (tax free) * Short-term and Long-term disability plans * Life Insurance (Whole Life and Term) * 401k with company match Learning, Tuition Assistance and Career Development: * Digital career path tool to assist with career development * Continuous training through Asbury University * Professional growth and development opportunities Additional advantages: * Student loan relief resources * Employee assistance program * Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service repairs * Scholarship awards * Opportunities to join our community service initiatives * Aggressive Employee referral program with bonus opportunities Responsibilities and Qualifications The Parts Warehouse Assistant ensures accurate and timely receipt of freight, accurately places incoming stock in the proper locations, and files packing slips in numerical order for the Parts Department. * Manages order pulling for employees and clients * Takes a leading role in bin organization and parts stocking * Immediately informs management of any stock outages or discrepancies * Assists with regular parts department inventories and selection of parts for returns * Initiates all paperwork relating to damages,shortages, and vendor returns * Participates in perpetual counts * Maintains department security * Manages all shipping processes, including shipping of warranty parts back to factory * Maintains shipping supplies inventory; notifies Parts Manager of needed items * Maintains separate warranty storage area organized by Repair Order (RO) sequence * Informs manager of any irregularities in parts available for return to factory * Ensures proper disposal of parts within factory, company, and environmental guidelines * Coordinates activities of contract delivery drivers * Assists with scheduling of deliveries including routing and special requests * Takes initiative to complete tasks through innovative thinking * Promptly notifies sales personnel and/or management of client issues, returns, or problems with drivers, and deliveries as necessary * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time * High school diploma or equivalent * Must be highly organized, computer savvy, and self-motivated * Must be at least eighteen years of age * Must have a valid driver's license and meet company MVR policy requirements * Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test) Asbury Automotive Lithonia GA
