As a Body Shop Manager, you will oversee all collision repairs and refinishing processes from start to finish. The Body Shop Manager develops business through insurance adjusters, customers and other sources to assure adequate sales volume. As a Body Shop Manager, you will be responsible for hiring, supervising and monitoring the performance of all body shop personnel. You will provide training on administrative policies and procedures for all department personnel, as well as provide technical assistance to employees as needed. The Body Shop Manager is responsible for building a loyal clientele and maintaining good employee relations. You must satisfy repair concerns of all customers and ensure that repairs are performed at the highest level!

Check daily output, monitor daily productivity reports and conduct periodic spot checks for quality.
Maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty by handling customer complaints immediately and according to dealership policy as well as by giving fair and accurate estimates on costs and time required for collision repair work.
Create goals and objectives for the body shop including an annual operating budget and carrying out marketing strategies to advance collision repair business.
Encourage technicians to keep their skills up-to-date through periodic technical training on new systems and components offered by the automotive manufacturers.
Maintain profitability of the department while controlling expenses.
Identify problems and opportunities, and implement process improvement.
RequirementsHigh School Diploma, Vocational/Technical School Graduate or Equivalent. College degree preferred.
3+ years of collision management experience preferred. Experience managing people and processes.
Experience in a large body shop environment.
Valid Drivers License.
Requires the ability to work in a team environment as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with DRPs.
