Body Radiologist - RAF

Position Summary

Radiology Associates of Florida, a Radiology Partners practice, is currently seeking a full-time or part-time on-site Body Radiologist to join our dynamic team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in reading all aspects of body imaging and general diagnostic radiology.

This presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge hospital environment with a full academic appointment at the esteemed University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, collaborating closely with medical students, residents, and fellows. Academic activities are flexible based on the level of interest.

This position offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, and is eligible for partnership track. Upon joining RAF, an additional optional opportunity for those who are interested is an internal moonlighting program with unmatched flexibility, allowing radiologists to moonlight from home as much or as little as they prefer, without having to commit to extra shifts.

LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

RAF is the largest radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys.

Our scale affords our practice stability and affords our radiologists flexibility in study mix and scheduling. We also recognize that scale alone does not beget excellence. We are quality-oriented, and we practice radiology at the cutting edge, encouraging subspecialty-level interpretations across the practice, and facilitating collaboration and consultation between our radiologists. Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS across the practice, AI tools, and integrated doc-to-doc communication widgets.

Our practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions vested in the hands of the group at large, rather than in a few founders or a small group of shareholders. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa.

In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Fellows and residents welcome to apply

• Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology

• Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology

• Body fellowship trained

• Procedural skills (biopsies and drainages) would be considered a plus, but not required

• MQSA would be considered a plus, but not required

• Medical license or the ability to obtain a license in the state of FL
