Robert Half is looking for a Board Operations Assistant/Executive Assistant for a non-profit organization in Baltimore, MD. SUMMARY: The Board Operations Assistant is essentially a high-level Executive Assistant that supports the executive office and the Board of Directors with all activities related to travel arrangements, logistics, events, communications, expenses, agendas, schedules, communications, projects, research, presentations, and meetings etc. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Provide administrative support to the Executive Department, Board of Directors and it?s Committees, serving as the primary point of contact for any Board related activities. ? Develop Board programs and materials for incoming members and ensure all action items are communicated timely. ? Manage the calendar of the CEO and Board to include all scheduling, logistics, planning, and distribution and preparation of meeting agendas, documents and minutes. ? Manage domestic and international travel arrangements, expense reporting, event planning, presentations and correspondence. ? Develop, execute and oversee the budget and all board operations to include managing nominations, the election process and the awards process. ? Assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: ? 5-10 years of Executive Assistant experience ? Experience supporting and working with a Board of Directors and executive staff is required ? Experience making domestic and international travel arrangements is required ? Non-profit or higher education industry experience is a plus ? Must possess a Bachelors Degree ? Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) ? Strong communication (verbal and written) with the ability to conduct and speak at board meetings ? VIEW JOBS 1/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-14T00:00 Class Description THIS IS A NON CIVIL SERVICE POSITION The Board of Municipal & Zoning Appeals is looking for a dynamic Associate Counsel to perform progressively responsible legal work for the Baltimore City Board of Municipal Zoning Appeals (BMZA) addressing a wide variety of regulatory issues pertaining to land use, real estate, and administrative law. Deliverables: The Associate Counsel will be responsible for the following: * Prepare and draft the Board of Municipal & Zoning Appeal's (BMZA) written decisions for public appeals, setting forth the Board's findings of fact and conclusions of law. * Advise board to ensure decisions are in compliance with the enabling legislation under the Land Use Article, MD Annotated Code and applicable law. * Attend public hearings and deliberations of the BMZA to insure the Board's findings are incorporated into the written decision. * Meet with appellants and parties of interest (for or against) to Answer questions regarding process and procedure * Attend legislative hearings before City Council and provide recommendations on pending land use legislation and regulations. * Provide presentations to neighborhood associations relating to land use, zoning, and municipal codes (usually during evening hours) * Supervise administrative staff and assist with general operations of the Board under the supervision of the Executive Director Qualifications: * Knowledge of the principles and practices of law and court procedures. * Knowledge of appropriate Baltimore City Code and Charter provisions and Federal, State and City statutes dealing with land use and municipal codes. * Skilled in legal research and the preparation of legal documents. * Ability to prepare and evaluate cases of varying complexity. * Ability to organize, interpret and apply legal principles * Significant attention to detail * Significant ability to write professionally and effectively. Education: * A law degree from an accredited law school and two years combined of any of the following: judicial clerkship, trial or transactional experience, administrative law practice, or practice before district, circuit or appellate courts. * Admission to the Bar of the State of Maryland is required. * A valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or equivalent driver's license To Apply Qualified and interested applicants must submit a resume and letter of interest (including salary requirements) to talent.masters@baltimorecity.gov .
