Board Certified Behavioral Analayst

Listed salary range is for Full-Time (40 hours per week - Exempt). Part-time position may also be negotiated (minimum 25 hours per week - max 29 hours per week).

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for working with program directors, supervisors, program coordinators, and direct staff to ensure that individuals with behavioral concerns served by the organization are appropriately supported. This includes working with teams to identify individuals requiring behavior support plans, assessment of behavior, developing individualized plans, training staff and on the plans, and supporting both the program participants and staff in plan implementation. As part of the planning team, the BCBA will also work closely with the participant and members of the participant's planning team including, but not limited to, family members, referral source staff, and others to ensure consistency in plan implementation. As needed, the BCBA may be required to develop crisis behavior plans and work with the interdisciplinary team on their application.

The BCBA will be responsible for ensuring a balance between the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), Person-Centered Thinking (PCT), and the rights of the individuals served.

The BCBA will also be responsible for working with program management and the Leadership Team in reviewing and developing the organization's policies and activities as they pertain to addressing participant behavioral needs and supports. This includes the development and conducting of staff training in ABA and PBS as well as the development and review of crisis behavior policies. The BCBA will also provide necessary supervision to staff who are interested in obtaining Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree (MA/MS) in applied behavior analysis, psychology, counseling, rehabilitation counseling, special education, or any other related area of study from an accredited institution

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification issued from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

• Completion of 8-hour Supervision Training as required by BACB

• Three + years' experience in a human services delivery system

• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly preferred

• Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors at the moderate to severe level is preferred

• Strong leadership skills including problem-solving, critical thinking, vision, personal and group accountability, coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others to excel, and developing plans of action that produce positive results for the individuals served and the agency as a whole

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to understand written and verbal directives

• Competence in the use of computers, copiers, fax machines, and associated computer software (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook)

• Current and valid First Aid/CPR Certification within 90 days of hire

• High ethical and professional standards

• High levels of competency in problem-solving, critical thinking, and personal accountability

• Personal vehicle for transportation of individuals served (if needed), current and valid California driver's license, and a driving record that meets agency standards

• Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements including pre-employment physical and drug screen, TB test, and criminal background clearance

• Meet all COVID vaccine requirements as required by state regulations/mandates
