Under the general supervision of the Director, Special Education consults with staff concerning the appropriate learning strategies and positive behavior interventions to support students in accessing instruction in the least restrictive environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification. • Experience as a BCBA in the school setting preferred • Master's Degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, child development, and/or related field preferred

Comments and Other Information

Claremont Unified School District is located in Southern California approximately 35 miles east of Los Angeles. The community is known for the Claremont Colleges and has a strong working relationship with these institutions. Currently, the District has over 7,000 students in its K-12 program and runs an extensive Adult School program. There are seven unique elementary schools, all have been designated by the State of California as Distinguished Schools, a school for the orthopedically handicapped, an intermediate school, a comprehensive high school, and a continuation school.
