Summary

Our Blood Donor Clinic located at Lee Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN or LPN to join their team:

The Blood Center LPN or RN is responsible for drawing blood and platelet s from volunteer blood donors.

Duties include interacting with prospective donors, providing information about blood donation, screening donors by conducting a mini-physical and a medical history interview, drawing blood according to specific procedures, administering post-donation care, and assisting donors who may experience reactions during or following their donation. The Blood Center Nurse must complete detailed documents and records pertaining to the donation.

Performs therapeutic apheresis procedures to provide treatments. Performs donor registration and audit with the blood center computer .Other duties include preparing work areas and restocking supplies. Clerical duties include phone reception, operation of office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines, and printers, in additional to basic computer skills in the Blood Bank computer system.
