Responsibilities

This opportunity is with our Selling Solutions Commercial Division, which partners with top tier pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies that deliver. In this role, you'll promote a new-to-market product representing a leader in biotechnology and one of Syneos Health's most robust relationships. The selected professional will be an integral part of a nationwide sales team developing and managing an assigned territory, and more specifically:

  • Maximize new business opportunities with physicians and other health service providers

  • Present therapeutic products and creatively teach people about their usage

  • Engage in meaningful dialogue that addresses the needs of the health provider and patient

  • Build trust and credibility and become a true collaborator in commercial success

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • A Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience

  • 2 years Cardiovascular experience

  • Documented national performance awards

  • Established relationship with influential customers and expert local knowledge in primary care

  • Successful launch experience in a highly competitive market

  • Outstanding business acumen including experience with Medicare Part B/D and Managed Medicare

  • Ability to attend required training programs

  • Ability to participate in minimal overnight travel

  • Ability to travel and possess a valid driver's license to drive to assigned healthcare accounts, unless otherwise specified

  • The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic

Astellas is announcing a Primary Care - Pharmaceutical Sales Representative opportunity in the Waterbury, CT area. Product to be promoted are VESIcare and Myrbetriq. Purpose & Scope: Achieve territory sales goals by promoting Astellas products and services to physicians and other medical personnel within assigned geography. Educate customers on the use, characteristics, advantages, indicated treatments and all other developments related to promoted products. Professionally represent Astellas in the field and ensure high levels of visibility and customer satisfaction in territory. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers. Essential Job Responsibilities: * Effectively promote and educate targeted physicians/HCPs on the use of Astellas' products through one-on-one meetings and group presentations, company-approved promotional speaker programs, and other company-approved means. * Work 5 days in the field each week, supported by office time as needed for call planning, customer follow-up, preparing presentations, making appointments, report generation, etc. * Ensure solid performance levels of call and field productivity. Meet Call Plan expectations and achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to all APUS-defined ethical sales practices, Compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations * Execute company-approved Product Marketing plans and territory/regional business plan activities * Support targeted customers using company-approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities/programs/initiatives as identified by Sales Management * Coordinate promotional efforts with peers across franchises and co-promotion alliance partners.
