Biomedical Engineer

Piper Health and Sciences is actively seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join a healthcare facility in Fresno, California. The Biomedical Engineer will manage the medical equipment program to ensure safe and compliant medical technology use. This is a Monday - Friday, traditional hours opportunity.

Responsibilities of the Biomedical Engineer:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive medical equipment management program that addresses healthcare standards, regulatory agencies, and industry best practices

• Act as the SME for Biomedical Engineering at the healthcare facility by providing support for specialized clinical technology, service, system administration, training, quality assurance, and life-cycle maintenance

• Manage a recall and safety alert program for devices including hazard investigations

• Lead capital asset and infrastructure planning for medical equipment from conception to installation

• Create a curriculum on the safe and effective use of medical technology for new and existing staff

Qualifications for the Biomedical Engineer:

• B.S. in Engineering or Certification as a Clinical Engineer (CCE)

• Experience at a medical center as a Biomedical Engineer, OR experience working in a government agency

• Ability to perform operational verifications procedures, planned maintenance, and repair service on medical equipment

• Familiar with the setup and application of test equipment

Additional Requirements:

• Per government customer: Must be a US Citizen and legally authorized to work in the United States

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance

• Must provide proof of Covid vaccination+ Flu vaccination

Compensation of the Biomedical Engineer:

• $90,000 - $120,000/year, depending on years of relevant industry experience
