In this position you will operate a front-end loader or track loader (Bobcat) to move and manipulate organic materials, attach implements to loaders to best handle differing materials, and operate a grinder to reduce products to optimal particle size for composting. Job Overview: Operate and maintain heavy, motorized equipment used in earth moving, composting, and product delivery operations in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:

  • High school graduate with math proficiency.

  • Ability to proficiently operate front-end loaders and skid-loaders to load material into low-speed grinders, screeners, trucks and trailers within four months of employment.

  • Ability to perform daily safety inspections, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment within four months of employment. Mechanical background preferred but not required.

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required with a good driving record

  • Proficiency with Microsoft software products.

  • Ability to speak and read English.

  • Good customer relation skills and ability to follow directions in a team environment.

  • Ability to work in a wide range of climate temperatures, including excessive heat and/or subzero temperatures.

  • Proficiency in maintaining safety while handling potential fumes, chemicals, odors, and/or noise.

  • Capacity to handle and lift up to 75 lbs. as needed.
